This is a must for any Harry Potter Fan. This experience is an amazing day out and could easily take the best part of a day to do however you can rush it in probably an hour or so we spent 4 and a half hours including lunch. and I would go back tomorrow. Getting the bus from Watford Junction was £3 return and took about 10 mins, there is parking which is free unless you book and pay in advance for preferred parking. From the moment you walk into the building you are immersed in the films. the sets are amazing and even better the knowledge of the people that work there is second to none. if you ever had a question about the films this is your time to ask. The food was very good and given this is effectively a theme park it is priced accordingly. the big bonus to the food is the option to try a butter beer, which comes with a souvenir mug. however if you have had Butter Beer in Florida it does not taste the same not sure why but this was drinkable. there is also a great selection of merchandise some of which is not available anywhere else and reasonably priced.
All in all a great day out and worth the money

It truly is a magical day ! It is a perfect day even better currently as there are not as many people in each session.

This is now my 3rd time going, I took my wife the first time I went and she doesn’t like Harry Potter and still said it was amazing and magical.

I really can’t recommend Harry Potter world enough. Staff are amazing and very knowledgeable and you can tell they LOVE their job.

Fantastic !!!!!! See you again around Christmas time.

OK. Be ready for one of the most expensive afternoons in your life. A family of 4 can easily spend upwards to UKP 400 for a visit.

But boy, what a visit! It's worth every penny! I won't even try to tell you about the different areas etc, but just tell you: If you or your kids even relatedly like Harry Potter; Just Do It!

The tour takes 3 hours (2 if you speed across it), and naturally ends in the souvenir shop. Expect to spend one hour there too.

The Harry Potter London Tour by Discovery Tours (a mouthful) is some way outside London, and do expect over an hour each way from central London. So it's a long day.

And as I said initially: BOOK AHEAD!
You have to, you can not buy tickets at the door. Each visit is time slotted. The exhibition doesn't close until 22, so if you're up for it you can get a late visit (depends on kids I guess).
A visit for a family of four costs about UKP 100, but expect to spend as much again at the souvenir shop, or more.

We did our trip by Golden tours, which included the tickets and the return trip from Victoria station. This cost us UKS 200, and frankly, it was worth it, not having to get "out there" by Underground and buses.

Better to take train and inexpensive shuttle to attraction. The cost will be much less expensive. The attraction is great.

The tour is average but the most annoying part is the prices for souvenirs. £25 for a small resin wand that probably cost around £1 to make? Avoid this place if you have any common sense....

Well worth the entry fee. We were in the actual tour for over 4 hours. Brilliant. An obvious thing to say but, if your a true hp fan you will want to go again, we do and definitely will. We are a family of two adults + a uni student and a 14 year old. I used the audio tour guide which was easy to use, but to be honest I wouldnt use it again as every thing was clearly labelled and informative. Use the Harry Potter bus if you can. It is based just outside Watford Junction Station and its only £2 return per person. Whilst on board you watch a video of what you need to do when you get there without giving anything away. Great day out :-)

We pre-booked our tickets before we flew to London - this is recommended, particularly if you are on a tight schedule. We travelled by train from Euston station to Watford Junction (get your timings right as some trains stop at every station so the journey can take 50 mins!) when you arrive at Watford Junction there are double decker buses waiting to take you to the studios - £2.50 per person for a return ticket and you must have cash as they don't accept credit cards. The bus journey is about 15 mins and you are dropped at the door of the studios. The whole tour can take up to 3 1/2 hours, after the initial 10/15 mins when your guides talk you through stuff you are left to your own devices and you can walk around freely to look at all the exhibitions. It is really well done and it is just amazing to see all the props and costumes used throughout the eight movies. The amount of work that goes in behind the scenes is amazing! It's a very enjoyable way to spend a few hours and I would highly recommend going if you are a Harry Potter fan.

Absolutely stunning and very engaging. The recommended time to allow is 3 hours but if you're a huge fan there is so much to see (and do) you could easily spend more time pouring over the finer details.
I was the driver of my teen and her boyfriend and paid to go in as I had nothing else to do .... I'm so glad I did. I cannot recommend this attraction highly enough, the quality, cleanliness, knowledge of the staff, amount of interactive opportunities, amount of memorabilia and the explanation of how the films were made leaves you staggered.

Not cheap. But worth it.

Tips.

1.Google maps doesn't bring you to the correct place based on the post code. Use the studio name instead.
2. Starting time is on 30 min slots. So you can arrive a little late or early and be ok
3. Take a snack for the tour. It's a good 3 hours before you get to the cafe.

Our family of four visited on Tuesday 17th Feb. Ease of booking is great, tickets arrived promptly and the directions and signage very very good. The car park attendants were friendly and efficient and we were quickly parked and heading into the building. We were very early for our tour so headed for the gift shop first. Eeeeeeeek!! How expensive are the items in there? Sorry, but £75 for a jumper and £25 for a wand is ridiculous. Not prices for children wanting to spend their pocket money they have saved...well, not our children's pocket money anyway! We then headed to the Cafe. A good selection but still a bit pricey.
We then found out that we could join an earlier tour so we joined the queue which moved quickly and the staff we passed were friendly.
The tour is superb and we loved seeing everything! Better than we imagined in fact! The artwork is simply stunning and the model at the end took our breath away - truly a wow moment! Negatives: (1) We knew it was half term and therefore going to be busy BUT, the rudeness of other guests was incredible. Pushing, elbowing, no please or thank you or excuse me. Sorry, but the Spanish and the French were some of the worst!! (2) The car and broomstick ride where you can then purchase videos/photos are way overpriced. Honestly, such prints cost pence in places like Asda etc so why the need to charge so much??? Am sure they get a good deal on printer paper! (3) A cup of Butterbeer should be included in the tour and ready for guests to stop and drink at the halfway point. Subsequent cups could then be purchased if wanted. We are quite convinced this wouldn't bite too deeply into profits and would be a nice touch considering how essential the notion of Butterbeer is to the Harry Potter series.
So, yes it is a wonderful wonderful place and we loved it. We would not go again because of how much it all cost which is a shame.
