Always love Hideaway!
Can't wait for its return after lockdown.

Somebody complained about the floor manager asking people to be quiet.

... It's a jazz club. You're suppposed to pay attention the the live performers. They aren't "background music".

Glad there is somebody there to remind people of that when necessary :-)

What a find. An old fashioned night out. A table for two, a meal, & an evening of good music. You’re near to the action, not staring at a screen, creating a great atmosphere . Will definitely be coming back, a real gem!

I must admit I was expecting something a bit more shabby but was pleasantly surprised, lighting and décor very good, ladies toilets painted all over, very good. We had a sunday roast which was very nice and desert if you had a main was only £3, rude not too!! Great view of the band and they weren't too loud, not quite my cup of tea but my partner enjoyed it, we will keep a check on what is on in future and would recommend it to others

I had never heard of the Hideaway Jazz club until I found David McAlmont was performing
‘Billy Holiday at Carnegie Hall’ and Wow what a fabulous performance that captured the emotion in the songs and survivor herself beautifully.
The Hideaway is fabulous and in my opinion a bigger and better place than Ronnie Scott’s - and I love Ronnie Scott’s.
Great Atmosphere, Great food, Great Staff.
Just Great !!!

Myself and 28 of my guests enjoyed a fantastic night out at the Hideaway a week or so ago. The combination of fabulous live music, great food, good company, reasonable prices and very good service culminated in a lovely atmosphere for all on the occasion of my 65th birthday celebration. The cost did not exceed my budget and was extremely reasonable; cost per head for my party was under £30 p/head including drinks from 7.30pm until midnight, plus the entrance fee - well worth every penny!
This was my second visit to this great venue. The location is somewhat hidden away but easy to find and get to for anyone south of the river.
Well done to the inspiring person (woman) who set this up. I will certainly recommend and will visit again and again.
The entertainment was excellent and the food catered for all diets, mine being vegan. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. I loved it! Thank you Hideaway.

Went to see Shakatak on 14/4/18 - had a fantastic night. Great food / drinks and not too expensive either.

Unfortunately some “floor manager” spent the first half of the gig going round and literally telling people to shhhhh - and the audience was not being noisy and everybody could hear the band. I was disgusted with such behaviour from the so called “manager” I complained to two separate waitresses who both said “we know - we are all scared of her”

I don’t expect to see such behaviour in a mature venue with a mature audience. We are not at school!

I hope the senior management take this feedback on.

Great food, in a beautiful setting, lots of great people watching, excellent bar scene also. The shows at the Hideaway Jazz Club are always top notch, we saw the Wall to Wall Bowie with David Mcalmont & Sam Obernick both singers on top form and also a fantastic band of musicians. The menu is great with plenty of choice and served beautifully. We totally recommend this club for dining and catching a show in a nightclub setting. All good and drinks are served to your table by the nicest staff we have ever met. For the couples get there early for the two seater tables at the front by the stage they have around 18 of these tables. Been many times before and be back soon. 10/10

I absolutely loved everything about this place. When I turned up, I liked the look and feel. The decor was vibrant and oozed soul and funk. We were able to choose our table and from then on, the service was friendly, attentive yet efficient. The staff gave the impression they loved working there. There's a good range on the menu for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. The price was acceptable. Obviously, the main attraction is the music and we certainly were not disappointed. It was also very easy to get up and dance should you wish to. This is the perfect mix of food, music, dancing and fun. I'll be returning for sure!

We attended for Wall to Wall Bowie which was spectacular. Great live music venue with attentive service, fabulous cocktails and great food. We arrived early for a table on the front row as there were just the two of us. The tables are waited on so no queueing at the bar and service is really quick, friendly and polite. Tasty food too, would definitely recommend!

Staff were the best, super fast service and they are always looking out for you, your glass is always full as it's table service. The live bands we have seen have great musicians and the woman on piano is the boss. 10/10
