Attended mass here while in Stuttgart.
The church looks very traditional from the outside. Immediately inside is a large foyer which was a very handy shelter on a rainy Sunday waiting for others.
The church itself is lovely, strangely modern but it works. Fabulously light filled.
Wonderful music and singing at our mass.
Very uncomfortable kneelers but everything else very nice.
Mass was in German but the wonderfulness of mass is the ritual so you can follow along without understanding a word.
Lovely Sunday morning.

This is a very modern church thanks to the Allies destroying the old one. Quite plain for a Catholic church but free to enter and take some quiet time during a shopping break.

Was surprised to find this church in the middle of a shopping location but we attended mass here found it a very nice church. It is very modern and stark as compared to other churches in Europe.

The first church built on the place dated from the 10th century. After several restructuring / rebuilding, a new church was completed in 1811. Severely damaged during WW II bombings, it was rebuilt in a simplified, modernist style and reopened in 1955.

The church is like other churches. Nothing interesting. The building is not bad. Just to see from outside. Not suggested

One of the many churches in Europe which were destroyed during the war and the rebuilt. The church is modern and located right on the main thoroughfare between the train station and the shopping area.

St. Eberhard Church is a moderns building lying in Königstraße, which is the most commercial street in Stuttgart. Its construction was completed in 1955 in the site where the ancient church stood. This one had been built at the beginning of the nineteenth century and was destroyed by the allied bombardment of Stuttgart in 1944 during the Second World War. The present church is the co-cathedral of the Diocese of Rottemburg- Stuttgart.
It is a three aisle church though the side aisles can be deemed insignificant when comparing their width and height with those of the central nave. This is separated from the aisles by columns supporting respectively two galleries above them. The central nave is quite impressive when first seen upon entering the temple due to its huge size as well as the tall modern reredos behind the high altar.
The organ is also outstanding owing to its large dimensions. It was built in 1982 by Winfried Albiez and it's one of the most important organs of Stuttgart.
The façade is quite simple, rather plain with small windows; the entrance consisting of three portals. The most remarkable element of that part is the round rose window. It is quite large and placed in the middle of the said façade over the central portal. It’s divided in four parts by an equal armed cross of the same material as the rest of the façade with some carvings on it depicting Christ in the vertical axis and the busts of the twelve apostles in the horizontal one.
The visit of that church may be quite illustrative about the trends of the religious architecture in the middle of the twentieth century.

Built originally in 1811 but destroyed in 1944 during World War II, and rebuilt in 1955 using much of original stones. The church is quiet, very reverential. Beautiful inside. The altar piece is a huge painting with gold overtones. Very pretty from floor to high ceiling. Not to miss. Great sound to the very large modern organ. No admission charge

DOMKIRCHE AT EVERHARDT ( STUTTGART CATHEDRAL ) is a nice looking church that has both a modern exterior and interior.
The church is located on one of the main shopping street's leading toward's the train station, namely KOENIGSTRAßE .
There has been a church on this site for i think over 200 year's but the original was destroyed in 1944 in an air raid.
I like the look of this church and i believe it's a nice cathedral to go and admire.
