My son and I traveled through Berlin with ease thanks to Ryan, he was our tour guide for the first day we arrived. He gave us the layout of the city by walking and by transit. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable, nice, funny and quick to respond when we reached out with questions during our stay. He also gave us great recommendations on museums, places to eat, drink and dance. I would definitely recommend Ryan!

Heidi helped us arrange 1 half day and 1 full day tour. Super easy to communicate with, very responsive, listened to what we were looking for and when she was unable to give the tour, she set up us up with the best tour guide, Tal. My husband had been to Berlin before so we started the half day with some off the beaten path places and a tour of Berlin Street Art, include the East Wall Gallery which was incredible. The second was filled with history, architecture, focusing on WWII, the Jewish Quarter and Berlin, old and new. Tal is one of the best guides we have ever had and she shared things that one would never know to look for if you didn't have a guide who knows all the ins and outs. We can not recommend her highly enough. Her knowledge of history, politics, art and culture was incredible and she even gave some restaurant recs that we used and just loved. Tal took so much time to explain everything, give us context, and told stories that illustrated the things we were looking at. She is very easy to be with and we enjoyed every minute. When we go back, we will definitely ask for Tal.

Dekel arranged two 3-hour tours for me and my husband, suggesting places to visit and customizing to our requests. Both tours were with Carolyn, who provided her insights from years of touring, studying, and writing about Berlin. We thought both the Berlin Highlights and Jewish Berlin tours gave us a much better understanding of the city and its history, especially during the war and present day. Because of Carolyn's personal background and experiences, we learned about things about the city and its people that we couldn't have gotten from books. We highly recommend both Carolyn, Dekel and Tours of Berlin. We couldn't have been more pleased.

I think we may have gotten the wrong tour guide based on everyone else's experience. We had Rachel and though she seemed knowledgable about Berlin her talk seemed memorized and she didn't like questions that came before she got to them in her speech. Felt like I paid too much for the quality of tour. She also didn't want to spend any time on things she thought were too touristy (Checkpoint Charlie).

Having done two half-day tours with Tal, it's hard to decide what was our favorite. She was simply outstanding for both - one focusing on WWII and Cold War era history and the other on the Jewish quarter. We can not recommend Tal highly enough. Her breadth of knowledge is incredible - history, politics, architecture, art, culture, and even Berlin's food scene, too. Not only that, Tal is a wonderful storyteller, charming and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. It is hard to imagine a better tour guide in all of Berlin!

While I had walked much of the same route, Dekel's virtual tour gave me much background information which brought it all back. He informed me about sites I had visited but knew little about ie the Soviet memorial. I had no idea there was a military cemetery there.

He is most knowledgable and I would highly recommend him as a guide.

Heidi, thank you for recommending Carolyn! We were extremely fortunate to have Carolyn take us on a three hour tour of Jewish Berlin that included the beautiful Neue Synagogue. Carolyn’s knowledge and insight into the history of Berlin is very impressive. We thoroughly enjoyed her company and would highly recommend her as your guide in Berlin. Thanks again Carolyn for everything! Joanne & Kevin

Heidi connected us with Daniela Martinelli for an introductory tour of Berlin on our first morning there. It was a three hour whirlwind of the Mitte area with its monuments and rich history. She provided great historical context as well as interesting stories. She knew exactly what we were looking for almost immediately and filled the 3+ hours with great information, tips )for example the VBG app!!) and suggestions for things to explore on our own. It was a perfect introduction to this glorious city, provided by a delightful guide. Thank you Heidi and Daniela!

We had a fantastic experience with Heidi Leyton and our tour guide Carolyn. Heidi was very responsive to our request for a tour combining the Third Reich, Berlin highlights and the Jewish quarter and experience. We exchanged several emails and planned the itinerary. When we had to revise the timing due to an unexpected complication, they were able to do so on a moments notice. Our tour guide Carolyn was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, extensive background on the Holocaust and all things Berlin and very interesting to listen to.
I highly recommend Heidi's Tours and Carolyn as the guide!

Heidi arranged a tour of Berlin during our cruise port day on July 31, 2016. She arranged for a driver to pick us up at Warnemunde. The vehicle was a newer minivan - very spacious and comfortable for our family of 2 adults and 3 teens. We were met in Berlin by our guide, Jad (Heidi was booked that day). Jad was outstanding. He was very informative and his love of history stood out. The tour was tailored to our interests. Having the driver at our disposal made the day very efficient. The 6+ hours in Berlin went by quickly and then we headed back to the ship. I highly recommend Heidi and Jad. We loved our brief tour of Berlin so much that we wand to visit again.
