- Nancy D4 contributionsFabulous view, easy accessFabulous view of Frankfurt with easy access. Buy at ticket at the first floor, ask for a senior discount if you qualify, and head to the large, fast and quiet elevators. At the top there are some steps but very easy climbing. At the top it it REALLY windy. There is a bench to sit and grab your breath, then enjoy the view!Visited April 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten April 1, 2023
- HistorybuffCABurlington, Canada78 contributionsCity-wide views for fans of tall structuresIf you are a fan of standing at the top of tall buildings with wide city vistas at your feet, then a visit to Frankfurt's Main Tower should be on your list. You have 360 degree views across the entire city, and sign boards indicate the prominent features. Note that new building construction in the vicinity of the Main Tower has blocked or changed the views of some historic buildings, so the sign boards are no longer entirely accurate. We went at 7 pm on a weekday, and there was no queue. The airport-style security screening was simple and the elevator quickly takes you up 190 meters. From there you climb a couple of flights of stairs up to the observation deck. We spent 45 minutes enjoying the evening sunshine, the cool breeze after a blistering hot day and the extensive views. There were a fair number of people milling around, so occasionally there was a wait to get space at the railing for photographs. The gift shop seemed to consist of several vertical display cabinets in the lobby of the building, so it's not possible to handle and examine the merchandise without asking for assistance. It was a pleasant end to a day of sight-seeing in Frankfurt.Visited July 2023Written July 3, 2023
- JohnRegoParkRego Park, New York1,134 contributionsYou might have to wait on line, but it's worth itFrankfurt is notoriously short on tourist destinations, so you may have to wait on line for a bit to get in because every tourist seems to be here. Certainly do so, because the view from the top of the building is spectacular. Americans and Canadians often have large buildings that easily accessible, but this one is unusual because it is in Europe. You go through screening and enter the elevator which whisks you up to the top in less than a minute. On a good day you can see everything including the airport you probably flew in and out of.Visited July 2023Traveled with familyWritten July 24, 2023
- Christine l15 contributionsBetter than I expectedI wasn't really sure whether 9 euro to stand on a viewing platform would be worth it to be honest but yes it was! I only wish we had gone at the start of our trip to Frankfurt rather than near the end as it would have been so helpful to get out bearings. Anyway, we went at around 6.30/7.00pm and I was regretting buying the tickets as it was raining (fairly lightly but still). There were hardly any queues and we were in the lift within about 5 minutes. That included a security check going through a metal detector etc. And at the top? WOW! I actually think the weather made the view even better with the dramatic skies. We spent about 30/45 minutes there, had fun spotting the landmarks we'd visited and realising how much additional walking we'd done between them because we kept getting lost! If you have teenagers, they will love it for the photo ops - my two both have really arty pictures of them against the skyline as their profile pictures. It's probably *slightly* on the expensive side for what it is but I think if you shop around or buy certain visitor passes you can get it a little cheaper.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 19, 2023
- Blackth0rnBristol, United Kingdom1,407 contributionsViews now somewhat obscuredThis didn’t seem to be the easiest place to find, and we were wandering around for some time trying to find the entrance which isn’t very well signposted, and when it is can be misleading with arrows pointing to the adjacent building. We must have timed it right (Friday, early afternoon) and there was no queue to speak of, but I would guess that the bottlenecks that they do have are probably caused by the rather onerous, airport style security scanners, and the staff manning these were not friendly or engaging. After that though, the lift soon whisks you to almost the top floor – there are a couple more flights of stairs to climb. The views that there are, are very good, and helpful signage points out various landmarks. Unfortunately though, the best view which is probably south east along the river, has now been completely obscured by a taller building being constructed. Obviously there was no mention of this before paying, and the signage that they have up there now points out landmarks that you can’t see! Still worth a visit I’d say, but presumably at some point a viewing platform will open on the new, taller building.Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 13, 2023
- Jacke Carimin2 contributionsWhat A crazy view, stunningIt's this sleek, modern skyscraper that totally owns the city skyline. The views from the observation deck are mind-blowing, giving you this epic panorama of Frankfurt. You can see all the cool architecture mixing old and new. Inside, it's all classy with glass and steel vibes. And guess what? There's a restaurant too, so you can munch on some amazing food while soaking in the scenery. Plus, being in the financial district adds this extra swag to the place, making it a symbol of Frankfurt's economic awesomeness. Whether you're a tourist hungry for views or a local wanting a unique dining spot, Main Tower is where it's at, capturing the vibe of Frankfurt perfectly.Visited February 2024Traveled soloWritten February 4, 2024

I paid my ticket/reservation in advance as I am not from Frankfurt. We were a few minutes late to this place due to our dinner running a bit late, and getting lost in the city. Upon arrival, the security told us we cannot go in as they are closed, without even asking if we had a reservation/ticket! After we told them we had reservation and he asked for papers, I showed my ticket and my vaccine card, and my girlfriend her negative test, but he told us she cannot go because her test is now over 24 hours. While I understand the severity of Covid-19, a negative test result is only valid at the time of the test taken, since you could have came in contact with someone after your test. She was only 2 hours past the 24 hour mark, and at this time of day, we'll not able to get another test done, and the ticket I paid for going to waste. The security guy just said these are the rules. Probably won't come back here and try to check out the platform in future. In addition, there is an added 0.50 Euro fee when ordering online, which seems odd when you are trying to reduce in person contact due to hygiene reasons, so why charge me extra money when I'm trying to reduce carbon/paper waste on top of being contactless? Just baffles me.

Stunning panoramic views of the city from the top where you can get with very quick and comfortable elevator. Even in a cloudy day you get breathtaking views behind the windows. The ticket is just 7 euro but it’s worth it. Must visit if you are in Frankfurt.

My daughter and I visited Frankfurt to see the Christmas markets but we also wanted to make the most of our weekend trip and see other attractions. It was the hotel that we stayed in where we found out about the main tower. We woke and ate an early breakfast and arrived right on time for opening at 10am so hardly queued and got searched and went up in the lift. We times it well because when we cane down in the lift there was a huge queue.
I’d say if you went during busy times the queue for the lift to go up and down would be lengthy to wait.
The views over Frankfurt were spectacular. Well worth a trip.

Cool place to stop to see the entire city of Frankfurt. May have a long line to wait in and you have to go through security so don’t take food or any odd objects with you. Would recommend to get some cool photos.

A gotta see place in Frankfurt as the city is so flat that your only real chance of seeing the overall landscape is by going up to the top of this building. And boy it wasn’t disappointing at all. The 360 view vistas is fantastic! Seeing the city go on for miles as the mainz river weaved through it was a must see. Definitely a place to go when in Frankfurt!

Beautiful tower. Gorgeous views. Great for sunset. More enjoyable at night with all the city lights. It just lacks a bar in the lower floor to be able to drink something while there like in The Shard in London, since the restaurant is always reserved.

Terrific view of Frankfurt, even on an overcast evening. Nice to go up just before sunset, get pictures of the city, and the get pictures of the city lights when it gets dark. Nice option of enclosed viewing area or going upstairs to an open air viewing area.

This tower is an awesome sight from below as it rises majestically into the skyline. It's complete glass structure is a sight to be seen but exterior photos are difficult as you can really only get them from directly underneath as it's such a built up area. Paying to just see a view is not something I would spend my money on.

There is no queue, it seemed to be very light.
I was there on Sunday when there is no else to do in Frankfurt and there was no queue, so I would say that in any other day would be less crowded.
