My wife and I walked a good length of this promenade path on our visit to Cadiz in December 2022 at the end of a cruise holiday. Having walked many of the narrow streets and alleyways in the old part of town we strolled along the Paseo Canalejas from the Cathedral along to San Sebastian Castle, around the western coast past Playa de la Caleta, passing the Santa Catalina Castle and finishing up at Parque Genovés before heading back through town to the cruise ship.
It's an easy walk with views of the city on one side and views of the ocean and castles on the other. The only criticism was a general lack of places to sit in the shade but it's a lovely walk and one we both enjoyed.

Hubby and I walked along Paseo Canalejas, the promenade from the Cathedral enjoying the sea air and sunshine. The path is wide and flat and there are bench seats if you need a rest along the walkway. Watch out for the cycle route between the road and path. Some lovely beaches along the way and some nice views of the city and coastline. Worth a wander.

Start on the east end of the walk and head west with the ocean on your right hand side. If you begun around 8.30pm or so and walk at an easy pace to the end of beach and up Paseo Fernando Quinones, you will be able to walk as the sun is going down and finish with a beautiful sunset. We did this over the last few nights and it is simply stunning. Also by this time, the heat of the day has passed and you can enjoy a fresh sea breeze. Highly recommend it.

The Paseo Canalejas is on the perimeter of Old Town and provides great views of the sea. The route is about a kilometer long and has parks for shade and ends at the Baluarte de la Candelabra. The Paseo Canalejas is part of the Blue Line and Orange Line self guided walking tours. Be sure to pick up a free map with the lines marked on the map. It will increase your enjoyment of Cadiz.

We walked around the perimeter of Cadiz along this coastal path. It is separated from the busy road by small garden areas with pretty planting, sculpture, fountains and beautiful trees, so it always feels peaceful and quiet. Locals use this path for jogging, dog walking, cycling and fishing and tourists like to enjoy the views and the ambience.

Long and relaxing way on the seaside. Quite windy very often, but if you spend more days you will find the perfect time! Enjoy!

One of the must-do's when in Cadiz is walk along the ocean from the Murallas De San Carlos to the Cadiz Cathedral. Its a walk through Cadiz history and beautiful scenery including the pitoresque bay at playa de caleta.

Cadiz was a cruise stop for us. We got off the ship and turned right. That took us along the ocean. Pleasant park along the way.

Lovely walk at any time of day which offers some of the best views of Cadiz. You can start from the old walls in the old town and keep going until you reach the new town or else turn towards the cathedral and do a circuit through the old town.

If coming off a ship make this your first walk (turn right from the port). Nice walk around the coast through some lovely parks. You can then take a left turn at any time to take you into the heart of Cadiz

Is there a place to order a map before we leave home? Or where can we obtain one when we get to Cadiz? This is a cruise stop for us.

The cruise ship will give you a port guide with a basic map, and the local tourist information set up a kiosk just by the cruise terminal. They supply detailed maps and will answer your queries if there is a particular place you want to see. By the way, I would recommend the local hop on, hop off bus, it's only about E18, and it takes you all around the city. Happy cruising !!!

La foto que aparece no es del paseo de Canalejas, es la Alameda y los Jardines de Carlos III, mucho más interesante y con una historía impresionante con las mejores vista de Cádiz, Creo que para recibir más opiniones deberías de cambiar y poner Alameda
