Neighborhood: El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.

We should have known it was a tourist trap because it’s located across from the Picasso museum and they were passing out flyers. The show was very watered down flamenco with three dancers doing their own individual dance. The stage was tiny so there wasn’t much room for them to move except for a few “River Dance” moves. People were coming in during the performance so it was distracting. There was no passion or heart in the performance, just overly staged moves. They advertise a tapas option but you have to eat it before or after the show, which they don’t tell you until you arrive at show time. Bar for the “one drink” was overly full, and the bartender was also responsible for serving the food. Since we arrived about 15 min. Before the show, there was no time to eat, after the show, the bartender was frantic, assisting people from after the show and the few who stayed after for their tapas, and said there was no more food.

I loved my night at Palau Delmases where I enjoyed an intimate flamenco show and a complementary glass of tinto de verano (Spain's summer go-to drink). Although the show was entirely in Spanish, it did not diminish this native English speaker's experience. The performers truly came alive during the show and I felt moved by the performance. I would recommend getting there early as they don't allow late guests in.
The venue is also absolutely stunning. Before and after the show, take some time to relish in the beauty of the historic palace and perhaps even exchange a few words with other guests. This venue is near the Arc de Triumph, Picasso Museum, and a few other notable landmarks. You won't regret adding this stop to your travel itinerary.

We attended at 6 PM, their first show for the night. These dancers put on such an amazing show we were with jaws open from the first set. There were about four sets total, each one more impressive. We have no idea how the dancers and musicians save enough energy to perform the rest of the night cause they really gave it their all. Out of a week at Barcelona, this was hands down the best of all!

I happened by the entrance to Palau Dalmases on a walk around the Gothic district and thank goodness I did! I purchased tickets online a few days before an evening performance and so grateful I did. The ambience and performance was amazing and just what I wanted for my first Spanish Flamenco performance. Small, great space, tons of energy and a passionate and fun performance. The price is very affordable and includes a free drink. All seats are good for the venue is small. The performance is one hour so a great stop before you head out for dinner for the night.

The show was excellent. We got tickets last minute, there were 3 women who did about 6-7 dances, plus a guitarist and 2 singers. I wasn't planning on this, but it'd have been a total miss if I didn't go here. I don't know much about flamenco, but I enjoyed this very much. Would go back (esp if they perform different songs each time, I'd think so.).

I knew about this place (like quite a few people my age) from the 2006 movie, The Cheetah Girls 2. If you were a fan of this movie, this location won't disappoint. It was surprisingly empty in the afternoon. The waitress was so kind and helpful taking pictures for me. I visited the exhibition inside and was only disappointed that I didn't have time to stay for a show in the evening. 10/10 would recommend.

Really excellent traditional flamenco show in an enchanting setting. The 3 dancers, one guitarist, and one main vocalist were all wonderful. I was so thrilled to be able to introduce my husband to flamenco this way - he really enjoyed it as well.

We were so glad we reserved seats for this wonderful show. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. It was an hour in length which was just right! We had our 2 year old grand daughter with us and she was in awe the whole time! It was one of the highlights of our trip and felt very authentic.

I came here during a trip to Barcelona last month and really enjoyed my evening. I upgraded my ticket to include tapas and had a front row centre seat, so I couldn’t have had a better view. The tapas included meats, cheeses and olives, and was a good sized plate - more than enough to fill me up. I’m not normally a huge fan of olives, but these ones were really, really nice! The tapas was washed down with a glass of sangria. One glass was included in the price of my ticket, and there was a bar to purchase more. After tapas, I went inside for the show, and really, really enjoyed. It lasted a little under an hour, so not too long, but enough. I’d definitely recommend.

We searched for a good place for flamenco in Barcelona and this one seemed very real and authentic. It’s located next to the Picasso museum and has a beautiful space, worth visiting and admiring on its own. We bought tickets about 5 days in advance, but our friend got a single ticket the last minute (same evening) and it was fine. When we arrived, the seats were already distributed. I was very happy about sitting in the first row. I like taking pictures and recording and also being close to the performers. But I think even in the third row it’s totally fine. It’s a very intimate space, with small stage and about 30 people in the audience. At the bar you are allowed to grab one free drink (the choice is between red and white wine, sangria and cava). Then you can buy more drinks during the intermission. The show was an hour (think of one set at the jazz club). All musicians/performers were amazing and very characteristic. There were a guitar player, two singers and two flamenco dancers. It was my first flamenco show and I was very impressed. We all loved it! The skills, the passion!!! It was fantastic and I’m very glad we had this experience on our first day. I would definitely love to attend more flamenco performances when I’m in Spain again!
