I visited this place because I stayed in Logroño for four months during my studies at the university. If I had been visiting the area only for a week I wouldn't have bothered with it. It's not very big and the admission is free, but it's basically a gallery where you can look at pictures and such. When I went they had an exposition on the mountain range which was really pretty, and another one about Darwin but all you do is look at pictures on the wall and read long texts about them. It was a good way to pass the time on a grey day, but I wouldn't go there again..

If you are visiting Logroño and have kids under 12 then this would be an okay place to go. About an 1 hour visit with some hands on things to do outside the museum. You can't argue for free!

Situated across the river but still close to the center, the Casa de Las Ciencias is worth a stop if you're looking for something to do outside the main focus of Logroño, which would be wine (and maybe tapas, as well). It's a nice walk across de Puente de Hierro, and worth going to even just to see the views from the other side of the river.
The best part - it's free. The downside - when I went, there were only 2 open attractions (one on spiders and another on the science behind children's fairytales). A nice thing to take notice of are the interactive exhibits outside as well.
Museum staff were all very helpful and accomodating.

I Thought the old abattoir building had been renovated beautifully for the purpose, but while the exhibits were interesting to families and young children, they were not so much to we seniors. It was a lovely walk along the river and over the bridges, and the sound and play park outside the museum could be fun for littlies.

We were so disappointed cause we cycled there especially. It was closed. No signs were up to inform us of opening times. It looked barricaded up.

I decided to take my ever hungry for knowledge niece there, and although I did not have high expectations of the place, I was astonished at how terrible it is!
There's absolutely nothing to see, do or learn. It's boring and poorly designed. Staff hang around joking and laughing loudly amongst each other with nothing to do, with no interest in the visitors whatsoever. Honestly, don't waste your time!

I went here to kill time between having tapas in the afternoon, and having tapas in the evening, and to be honest, that's what it's good for. You need perhaps half an hour to see it. I found it interesting, but not particularly noteworthy in any sense. You will also need to be able to read Spanish, because very few things are translated into English.

It's free, and located between the iron bridge and the stone bridge on the north bank of the Ebro, so if you're interested in walking across both, this makes a decent stop in the middle, but I wouldn't advise going out of your way for the visit.
