    Reasonably priced transportation.
The ferry was reasonably priced and allowed our bags. Ticket purchasing lines are much longer mid-day, so buy tickets early or late if you can, and note that the purchasing line is closest to the building while the line to get on the boat is nearer the water. The ticket does NOT say the time of the ferry - the seller writes that on the ticket, so be sure what they write on the ticket is the time you requested rather than just the next boat. Follow the signs about where to stand as verbal directions may not be accurate (even from uniformed workers).

Very poor service at ticket office
The staff at the ticket office are rune, arrogant and unwilling to help. One female employee shouted at my wife when she didn’t firstly understand the timings of the boat. Basically she said just one boat was left and it was one way. We walked off the. I heard another staff member telling another customer there was. 1 hour round trip! We got tickets but he was also incredibly lacking in customer service skills. I get the impression these employees hate their jobs.

Awful experience at the ticket office
The people at the ticket office are the most rude that I met in all my journey to this wonderful region. Even when I asked for the complaints book or to speak to a superior they said that there was neither of the options. Absolutely unacceptable the way they speak to the clients. I refused to contribute to their sallary so I skiped the trip to the lake.

After studying the schedule and fares at the ticket office near the dock in Como, Italy, we purchased circular tickets (Como-Bellagio-Como) for the regular service (not the fast service). The cost for two single day tickets was 17.80 Euros (21.19 USD). The regular service makes stops in all towns with a pier along the route. This was perfect for us because we just wanted to enjoy the trip and take lots of photographs. This trip did not disappoint and was a great alternative for us versus an expensive private boat tour of Lake Como.

As a first time visitor in Como, the ferry ticket counter and embarkation point was not very intuitive to find and the lines were quite long for February, with some people cutting in front of us, but ok after all. At the end it was all worth the wait because touring the lake with a ferry was indeed very beautiful. We disembarked in Cernobbio. Waiting lines during high season must be very long and unpleasant. Stay near a window or outside for better views and pictures.

We took a ferry from Como to Bellagio, I came from Australia with my family but I’m from Milano. It was disappointing and embarrassing to take my family through the experience of taking a ferry in Como. My sister in law, from Sydney, queue for long time in Como to get tickets, then been told to purchase return ones in Bellagio...why??
We arrived in Bellagio and the main ticket point was closed as per every Thursday, although no one told us in advance but also it’s the festive season so there were more than 50 tourists trying to find a way to purchase them... We found a second ticket point, had to queue for another 30 minutes with many other tourists that were distressed and annoyed. The guy was rude (probably annoyed as well), couldn’t provide useful info and could not speak English...
Mia bella Italia, we are in 2020 and nothing is changing, you are treating tourists badly and expect €15 for a ticket. Please do something!!!

A fast, cheap and reliable way to travel across the lake. You can go from Menaggio across to Varenna and then on to Bellagio, getting on and off as you want. A regular service with a printed timetable that runs on schedule. Fantastic way to see all the sights.

Can't come to lakes and not go on a passenger ferry. Wonderful views of lake and hills but too of course of the historic towns as one pulls away and approaches. Feels very part of an Italian lake break. We found run very well to time.

We travelled on the Rapid Ferry from Como & ending our trip in Bellagio. It was beautiful to see all the stops along the way & take in the awesome scenery that Como has to offer. The ferry was comfortable & relaxing & I highly recommend this service to anyone wanting to reach other areas in this glorious region.

Using the ferry as public transportation in Como is probably the best way to commute between the districts.A full day ticket costs around 20 Euros for adults. However, you need to make sure that you know the route of the ferry if you want to reach a specific location or hotel. The views are stunning. And there are restaurants on the bigger ferries with nice food and reasonable pricing. It is recommended to take a full day ticket especially if your commuting to Bellagio.
