When in Como we were looking for some special chocolate to take home as gifts. The staff at the hotel only had one recommendation (because it was so good) - Cioccolandia, di oriana De Marco, 22100, Como Via Rusconi 12. But you will not find a store with that - it is just part of a cafe, "Caffe Napolento". The wife apparently hand makes all the chocolate and she and her husband run the cafe and sell the chocolate. I was taken back to the "Chocolat" movie and was constantly looking for Johnny Depp to sail up. This is truely a hidden gem!

We stopped in on April 19, 2013 on our visit to Como. We had their wonderful Apple Cake (a light, cream-based cake, topped with thinly sliced apples and basted with apricot jam) and a heavenly Pistachio Espresso (ground pistachio nut crème with cream and espresso). See attached pictures.
If you are in Como and enjoy unusual and delicious coffees and chocolates, you owe it to yourself to stop in!

We are coffee lovers from Washington State and NOT fans of Starbucks. This place is fantastico! From the moment we sat down at our outside tables on the pedestrian walkway, we were attentively taken care of by the owner. I had read about the Montezuma coffee which is made up of espresso, cream, and high quality chocolate. It was THE BOMB! Pasta dishes for our lunch were all fresh ingredients and amazing as well. The restaurant had a steady stream of 'locals' so I knew we had found a gem! Thank you for a truly memorable experience in Como!

We visited cioccolandia di oriana de marco because of its reviews on trip advisor and my husband and I have to say BRAVA!! What a gorgeous little chocolate and coffee stop! The owner is so friendly and a delight to speak to!! We asked for a "mocha" (in English) the gorgeous owner finally decided that it had to be called a "ciocco morocco"! It was the most delicious, interesting little espresso shot of coffee and delux chocolate ever!! U must visit when in Lago Como :)

We stumbled upon this caffe when looking for lunch in Como. Delicious chicken with perfectly cooked vegetables, a handsome piece of lasagna. When I got home and read the reviews, no one talked about the food. Delicious lunches, perfect coffee and cookies at a super low prices. We were the only non-Italians having lunch. Very warm, attentive owners A real find.

I think this place has closed down, we couldn't find it and were exactly at the right address. There is a tiny restaurant but it isn't called by the title expected, and there's no trace of chocolate.
