..planned so in the late 800s to break the "Romal acampment" physiognomy of the city, it connects piazza Solferino to the very central piazza Castello, with the usual "portici" on one side and residential/administrative buildings on the other. Under the portici, "important" (or once so) shops, coffee bars (Costadoro) and a historical bookstore (Libreria Petrini) that faces piazza Solferino, unfold in rapid succession. Atop the portici, beautiful residential buildings offer good examples of Turinese Art Nouveau.
