Located on the West side of via Garibaldi (ex Dora Grossa), you gain access to it via a porch with a colonnade, now closed by glass and the seat of administrative offices. At the bottom of a long corridor located on the right hand side of the street entrance, a small, rather unassuming door leads to a Baroque triumph, built in the 1600s as a place for bankers and shopkeepers to meet and worship. Several canvases by different painters but similar styles describe the Nativity of Jesus. Beautiful white marble-like wood statues flank the chapel. A fresco depicting the Ascension of Jesus into Heaven, enclosed within a beautiful gilded trompe-l'oeil frame makes up the ceiling and a gorgeous pipe organ sits on the main entrance. Every Saturday, the chapel hosts a free concert at 5pm and Mass is celebrated on Sundays at 11.
This is a rare treat that should not be missed.

It is difficult to find and only open a few hours each week. It is open, however, on a Saturday at 3.00. I went at 4.00 and found one of their regular concerts was on at 5.00, costing only 5 Euros. a beautiful church and a charming concert by young musicians. I think it is also open at 10.00 to 12.00 on a Sunday. But I am not certain.

A chapel built back in 17th century, extremely well preserved. It is one of the many hidden treasures Torino has to offer and perfectly expresses the Piedmontese tradition of non "showing off".
You won't be disappointed :-)

This place has been a stunning surprise for me. It's a baroque chapel with fine frescoes, statues (made of wood but resembling marble) and a big golden crown over the altar. In the sacristy, you can find an interesting perpetual calendar invented in 1831 by the Italian astronomer and mathematician Giovanni Antonio Amedeo Plana. The guide told us that it was studied by a group of Japanese students who said it was the first example of computer in history. The chapel is opened by volunteers on Saturdays afternoon (from 3 to 6 pm). The guide told me that the chapel is usually closed during Summer.

It is really nice place to visit. It is quite beautiful. It is sorta hidden in a sense, so might be hard to find but a good visit.

This newly restored chapel opened a couple of months ago exposing hidden afrescos that will amaze you.
Not many people know about this chapel due to the fact that it's located right next to a big church and the entrance as opposed to being located directly on Via Garibaldi is actually inside the entry hall of the building.
Definitely worth a visit.

Chapel of Merchant's and Bankers. Only open Sat afternoon and Sunday morning.
I went to see the Perpetual Clock.

There was a mass on at 11am Sunday, but when mass finished, about 11.45 - the wardens took us through to see the clock. No English spoken, but absolutely fascinating !

The chapel also has a roof to rival the Sistine Chapel (in my opinion !).

Don't dilly dally .... the doors were locked by midday !

I love baroque churches and this is one of the very best. The bankers and merchants of Turin were obviously a rich lot (or maybe they just had a lot of sins to atone for). Go into the Sagrestia to see an early date and day of the week calculator based on rolls of paper (they are rightly proud of it, so someone will show you if you try and communicate). It's only open on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings, so check the opening times carefully.
