What a lovely park close to downtown. By entering the place you can see statues of important people who built the city and its history over the time. Walk in here is awsome, so much green and flowers to see specially on spring time. There are a lot of spots to sit and watch birds all around. All that for free. The fountain is also a place where kids have. Great experience.

Lecce is great city. Old town is superb. You can have one hour walk and visit old town, have great espresso and grab amazing gelato.
Lot’s of little shops offering all kind of goods from pottery, clothing to museums andexhibitions.
Tiha is amazing park with lots of green trees and you can take perfect pictures for the reminder.

A green and blooming LOVELY park (or) garden that is located just outside the historic center of Lecce and connects the new part to the old part of the city.
Great place for a short rest and refreshment especially if you are traveling with children.

I walked quite a long way to see this. Every gate was padlocked and there was no explanation or notices about why. I assumed it was because Matteo Salvini was in town, but why close a park? The protesters were all in the main piazza and it was all very peaceful. I walked all the way round the boundary trying to get in. So disappointing,

Lovely formal garden. Wander the pathways under the trees, sit on a bench, there are plenty lining the avenues. A family fun day was on when we were there. Plenty of kids riding bikes, kicking balls and enjoying themselves. Beautiful fountains and a band playing in the rotunda.

As above, really nice for a quick regeneration. You won't find many attractions there, but it is perfect for 5-10 minutes break. Restored? Nice, now go back to see rest of the chapels in Lecce :)

A large urban park located just outside the Centro Storico district, named for Giuseppe Garibaldi. There are four entrances into the park, the main being across the street from Palazzo dei Celestini. Located inside are wide boulevards lined with trees and benches, for sitting. In the center is a pavilion, of 8 columns surmounted by a green enameled dome and a stone cross. Located around the park are busts of famous Salento individuals.
There is a large 2-section fountain, with a short bridge and neoclassical buildings.
There is also a large monument to Garibaldi.
This is a great place to sit, relax, and enjoy a little solitude from the city.

This is a nice little park set behind the castle of Lecce. There is a nice gazebo in the center and a few statues scattered around, If you have a few minutes to kill, and want to relax in a bit of greenery, then seek it out, but don't feel as if it would be a shame to miss it.

The Villa Comunale has a long and illustrious past, designed in the late 1800's and originally called Villa Garibaldi for a bust of the "Great Unifier of Italy" or "Bloodthirsty Terrorist", depending on your point of view. The problem with the Villa is rather in the present, namely the city's absurd rules and regulation regarding the use of the park. It is unlawful to: step on the grass, step on the dirt spots, play sports, ride your bicycle, walk your dog without a muzzle, etc. These rules are regularly and enthusiastically enforced by the local city cop on duty. I witnessed a young boy who was caught picking flowers for his girlfriend, and he was almost placed under arrest. Really? Is that Lecce's idea of a park, the only park near the centro storico? The city spent lots of money refurbishing the fountain and dock pond, but alas no ducks are to be found there. The rules of the Villa are overly rigorous and an embarrassment to the both locals and tourists. I'm sure the architect who designed the park a century ago had a different idea concerning its use by the townspeople. Lecce, whose name comes from a tree, has a lot to learn regarding nature and their citizen's right to enjoy it.
