- Islay H14 contributionsA great walk.A wonderful walk from Maiori to Minori. So many people commented on the lack of lemons. We were here in March & lots of lemons, but the views are the best bits. Watching the animals & seeing all the different plants too. I wanted to walk the Path of the Gods but am scared of heights, this walk was enough for me.Visited March 2023Traveled with familyWritten March 23, 2023

- Emily E27 contributionsVery hot, but very beautifulSuch a beautiful walk with many photos opportunities available throughout. It took us about an hour to get there as there were many steps and a couple of our party were slightly unfit and middle aged. We went to Sal de Riso (a pastry cafe) whilst in Minori. It was an extremely hot day, so I would recommend going early in the day so avoid most the heat midday and take lots of water on your trip. There is also someone about halfway up selling lemonade. The walk back from Minori or Maiori along the seafront took about 20 mins.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 25, 2023
- ArtisticIdea67 contributionsBest part of the Amalfi coastThis is the actual highlight of Amalfi coast! Amalfi and Positano are so touristy, it's unsettling. Stay in Maiori and enjoy your time. Don't miss this hike. It's about 400 steps up, but they are relatively easy because they are not all at once and there are benches to rest along the way with beautiful views. Skip the fresh lemonade and "lemon granita" at one of the shops at the top. It was a tiny cup of each and was 4 euros each. The Granita was just chunky ice with a few drops of lemon sugar in the middle, pretty insulting. Wanted to help support, but this is a really poor value. Definitely ask the price because they do not post them.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 21, 2023

Very difficult to find the beginnning of this trail, from Minori, as there are no indications. We had to ask 3 times to find the right stairs, when arriving down from Ravello (walking down hundreds of stairs). The trail itself is paved and very easy, with nice views but not crossing any lemon trees/groves at all. It was not the immersive experience we were expecting: no scent of lemons in the air at all (even if the trees were full) . The only nice experience was tasting the lemonnade, jam, and limoncello at Ruocco (halfway through). Hope in the future a consorcio of growers and tourism association takes care of this trail and takes inspiration from CAI or Swiss indication system for trekkers! Not expensive and could be done also in local ceramic art!

As the other reviews mention, yes there are a lot of stairs but it is so worth the climb for the spectacular views.
This is not a long walk by any means. We walked from Minori - Maiori in about 40 minutes and that was with us stopping to take pictures. We are late 20s/early 30s and are reasonably physically fit, if that is helpful for reference.
The views are wonderful and it is a lovely walk along a safe path. We did at one point need to step into the side to let some lemon carrying donkeys go by!

we started in Minori: you have to climb about 200 stairs (very steep, so take your time) starting near the school in Minori center, or you can follow the road, both up to "Torre". Sentiero dei Limoni is indicated at the start of the trail. Once you got up at the Torre in Minori the path is less steep and quite easy and you will be rewarded with amazing views over Minori and Maiori and their bay. You'll pass through the lemon plantations everywhere and at the end start the steep descent to Maiori. Depending where you stay, you can start in Minori or Maiori, it doesn't make a difference really.

I appreciated that the trail was smooth, with either cement or relatively flat stones. The views were nice but not super spectacular. There were a few lemon groves, and some private gardens with various vegetables. We enjoyed stopping to pet some friendly cats. After walking on the trail from Maiori to Minori, we stopped at a pasticceria. We did not want to repeat the walk in reverse, so we walked back to Maiori on the side of the main raod, which was much faster and easier.

This is a path perched along the cliffs, and the only pedestrian route between Mairoi and Minori before the road was built. We started the route in Minori - the initial climb up the steps is a bit of a slog, but it gets easier. You will pass through orchards (not many lemons on display though!) - the midpoint is the tiny village Torre From here its relatively easy walking, with a beautiful view of the green and yellow ceramc tiled domes of Santa Maria a Mare church greeting you in Maiori. We then took a well deserved gelato break at Geljada, before our bus back to our B&B in Amalfi. It's a relatively easy walk, takes a bit over an hour with great views along the way.

Although we had read of this walk, we couldn't find any information or maps to help us once we were in Maiori.
We really wanted a change from driving the coast or a beach day, so set about doing our own research.
We made it, had a wonderful walk to Minori with our three childrem (aged 12,10 and 5). There are drinking fountains along the way, and cermain tile way-markers just to let you know you are on track. You are never very far from civilisation, and it is a great way to see the non-touristy side of the towns, and to have fabulous views from up above the towns. Once you get to Minori, you can reward yourself with a fabulous ice cream at sal de Riso, and catch the bus back to Maiori (or walk back along the coast).
1. start at the Limonetum in Maiori (tourist office).
2. Take the Scala Santa (Holy Steps) on the Via Pedamentina, up past the Maria e mare Collegiate Church (fill your water bottles here at the start).
3. Take the Via Vena to the beginning of the pathway and look at the view at Way Mark 1. There are a lot of steps here. About 20 minutes worth. I'm very unfit but I'm still alive to tell the tale, so persevere!
4. Follow the path to waymark 2 where there is a carob tree on the right (we missed this one).
5. look over the Lazarro District at waymark 3.
6. look out for wild rosemary at Waymark 4 (we missed this too).
7. Here the path widens at Waymark 5.
8. Waymark 6 is a good place to watch birds apparently (but not at 2pm in August).
9. Waymark 7 - look for lemons growing from now on.
10. The Mortella Overlook is at waymark 8 - views to Ravello and Minori.
11. Go down into Minori via Via Torre.
Wear comfy shoes, be prepared to climb a lot of steps for the first half, and be aware that there is no shade for the first half of the walk.
It's really lovely.

The Sentiero dei Limoni (or the lemon trail) is an old back road connecting Maiori to Minori on the Amalfi Coast. It is an easy trail and takes about 1 hour to complete. But it might take you more than an hour because of the nice point of views along the trail where you will stop to take in the scenery.

Salve, tempo di percorrenza a piedi andata e ritorno?
Emanuela
Rome, Italy35 contributions

Buona passeggiata

Do you only arrange private tours? We are only two people, and think it will be a bit expencive. We would not mind to walk with other people.

È possibile percorrere il sentiero anche la sera dopo il tramonto? È illuminato?

Non é illuminato. Necessita una buona torcia. Attraversando di notte in maggio si incontrano le lucciola.

I broke my ankle and leg and have plates and screws implanted. I am 60. I am still recovering from the surgery. Is this something walk easy?

No there’s nothing easy about the walk. Worth the effort but You can walk along the front from Miouri to Minori with lovely views of the sea and the lemon walk from below. 🍋 hope that helps.
