Not open
mar 2021.
The museum was not open during their advertised times. We called the phone number on the door several times throughout the day and did not receive a return call. Maybe try phoning ahead if you plan to go to ensure the museum will actually be open.

More than just a car museum

Wow what a walk back in time.
Not only a great selection of old cars all in working condition but the collection of other items around the walls etc will bring you back to your child hood days.
Friendly hosts with a wealth of knowledge about every car as all privately owned by the Campes.
Fantastic place to visit and highly recommend

I paid a visit to this motor museum, and I was amazed by the number of vehicles on display and they were all in pristine condition, but I was mostly impressed by my guide Leo, who gave me a fantastic introduction and history of nearly every vehicle, he was very knowledgeable and really made the tour fantastic, 10/10

A Brilliant Motor Museum from One Man’s Passion
apr 2019. • Parovi
Campe’s Motor Museum Hamilton is the result of one man’s passion and his willingness to share it with the rest of the world. From owning one local school run in 1979 and building this to a fleet of busses and also numerous school runs, Glen Campe’s passion lays with the collection of veteran and vintage vehicles and associated memorabilia.

The museum is literally crammed with vehicles that in many cases we have just read about. Vehicles include the 1946 VR Mercury, 1939 Riley, 1962 Holden EK, 1926 Graham Brothers Bus, 1967 Humber, 1971 VW Beetle, 1949-53 Ford Prefect, 1946 Bedford 0B bus, 1916 Model T Ford, 1926 Willys Knight – need I go on!

There is a small collection of vintage motor bikes/cycles. Other memorabilia lines the walls and in many cabinets and open shelving. Motor car signage, car manufacturer promotional objects, an old iron collection, bottles many of which I haven’t seen anywhere else, box cameras, and a collection of caps hanging on the walls around the office. Speaking with Glen he assured that he has many more bags of caps to add to the display.

The staff are very friendly, welcoming and will assist with answers and/or information they anyone may request. I gather that all vehicles are operational and some have been for example in the Adelaide Bay to Birdwood car tour. Whilst there, the fire engine started up and the sirens blasted throughout the museum as one guest asked if it works. Rather than say ‘Yes’, they started it up! That is brilliant customer service!

There is a nominal entrance fee which is outweighed by what is on display.

A notice is also by the front door that indicates if they are closed to ring and, if available, someone will come and open up for you.

Return? When returning to Hamilton, Campe’s Motor Museum will definitely on the itinerary.

Very interesting variety of vehicles and collectibles

We recently visited Campe's motor museum and really enjoyed it. It has a wide variety of cars, trucks and motorbikes. Some very rare. The owner, Glen was there and more than happy to give us details and insisted we sat in and experienced trip back in time. Over one hundred cars and lots of old collectibles. Very well presented museum. Glen obviously takes pride in everything he does.

I visited with my husband and some other car enthusiasts in March and was impressed with its size and diversity of cars and other things from a bygone era. Obviously collected over many years and done with a dedicated passion. I met Mr Campe and his wife who enjoy showing their collection. We hope you continue to get pleasure in talking to people about your great
Collection for many years to come. I loved that car that played those Rock and roll tunes!

A must to visit, great lot of vintage cars that all run and can be driven on any roads. Glen who owns this magnificent collection of cars, bikes and memoberila loves for you to call in see his collection and have a chat, don't forget to check out his bus that he has converted into a mobile home a beautiful old girl is how I would describe it. If not open just phone the number on the sign he or his son will gladly come and open up. $10.00 admission but money worth spent, we were there for over an hour
