Had to postpone as number of group tested positive to Covid-19 . Kraken team unfortunately were unwilling to work with us to reschedule and just charged anyway. Seems they prefer people who have tested positive to still come annd use their facility instead of working with them to find a more suitable time to revisit. Very disappointing given backdrop.

Did a 90 minute session of axe throwing with another couple. Daryl was our coach. He did an excellent job keeping things lively and safe. Chips were sold as snacks. A few non-alcoholic drink choices (Coke, sprite). Decent beers. Would definitely do it again.

Visited today for pickleball. Fencing is loose and hazard. Women's bathroom floor was dirty, hooks for bags missing, locks in poor shape and toilet paper holder off the wall. Poor presentation for relatively new facility at 2 pm in weekday. Few customers in the place. They should do better and reinvest to maintain facility. Establish better standards.

Our bachelorette party had an incredibly fun time at Kraken Axes! Most of us weren't even drinking and we still rode the high of throwing axes! VERY EMPOWERING. Our coach, Angus, was enthusiastic and felt like a member of our party and by the end of our 1.5 hour reservation we were (more or less) better at throwing axes.
Tips:
- Book an arena ahead of time if you are a party of 6 or more. They are very easy to work with if you have to make changes.
- Wear closed two shoes. If you arrive in flip flops, they have galoshes you can wear, too. It's just kind of gross considering how many people have worn them before you...
- There is a bar on site serving beer and an ordering station for bar food from a nearby restaurant.
- Wear clothes you can move in. You move your whole body throwing axes.
- Register your friends' names and have them complete the liability waiver ahead of your reservation so you don't have to crowd the hosts' station when you arrive. Then you can just check-in and get to throwing.
Notes:
- It's noisy. Don't expect to have intimate conversations. You'll be screaming and rooting on your friends instead.

So we went here as a group while we met out counterparts in DC for business. What a great time. Two and a half hours of throwing various axes. They have a small selection of beers and allow you to order food and bring it in. The provide a coach who helps instruct you on throwing technique and then essentially acts as the judge for various game you can play. Great time was had by all. They mentioned adding an outside beer garden and additional throwing lanes outside. Essentially, it’s dart on steroids.

My local Dad's Group made a field trip to Kraken to try something new besides the normal activities in our area. It was a great experience. The location is smaller but very nice. There's a great energy in the place with all the groups having fun, cheering, and just generally having a good time. The staff are very friendly and work quickly to fulfill all of the guests needs. There is a coach assigned to every group who are very helpful in offering tips to improve your experience and plan games for the groups. Our coach Jonah (or Jonas?) was fantastic and entertaining. Having beer handily available made the experience even better, and food can be ordered from a nearby restaurant (I didn't order any, but some of our group did and said it was delicious). The location is easily accessible from public transportation or parking garage. Overall it was an awesome experience and I can't wait to return for more axe throwing goodness!
