I embarked on a journey to Algeria in the winter of February 2020, something I’d been thinking about for over 2 years. It was a remarkable visit, and it was all made possible thanks to the expert tourist guidance I received from Algerian Maze. They stood out as a unique company because they offered a customised tour to suit my particular interests. They assisted with the tourist invitation, organised all the locations I wished to visit, arranged the hotel accommodation and met me at the airport when I arrived in Algiers. I will never forget the first moment of meeting them (Nehad and Abdelbasset). Very trustworthy, friendly and amazing people. They made everything positive and it was a pleasure to be with them each day. They took care of all the arrangements for food, daily travelling, meeting friends and exploring the wonders of their beautiful country. I was impressed by Nehad’s cultural, architectural and historic knowledge, especially when we visited the Roman Ruins of Tipaza, Tiddis, (and also in the Casbah of Algiers where there are many incredible sights to behold). Nehad is a very experienced and intelligent guide, so you’ll be sure to learn a lot about Algeria with her. Our journey continued to Kabylia, which is a very special place to me for musical reasons and the natural environment is also magnificent in this region. I play a musical instrument called a mandole (YouTube: Project Coast Mandole) and my supporting travel guide named Abdelbasset, made special arrangements in helping me find a particular mandole for sale when we returned to Algiers. He also arranged a special meal for us at a traditional home in Constantine, prepared by a local family, which was a truly authentic experience. The friendliness and generosity of Algerians is wonderful. I should also mention that the natural views from Constantine are breathtaking. It’s the perfect place to watch the sun go down in the west behind the verdant and mountainous landscape. Our journey ended back in Algiers, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea from Sablette D’Alger while I played some music on my newly acquired mandole. In all, Algerian Maze made my dreams a reality. I certainly look forward to future travels with them, and I recommend them to others who are interested in visiting Algeria. Best wishes.
