Going through the Tunnel as a Vietnam Veteran
maj 2020.
We had an Excellent guide and it proved an interesting experience for a Vietnam Veteran. I knew of the Tunnels from IR's but did not encounter a tunnel during the war.

Intriguing
feb 2020.
Great experience, history lesson. My kids even enjoyed it, very busy. If claustrophobic, make sure you don’t get stuck in the back of a lot of old or overweight people when you go in the tunnels, as you’ll be stuck in there a while , not moving . It’s very tight squeeze ( I’m 5, 6 , 50kg)

Book a tour with Nguyen Cong Tuan!
jan 2020. • Parovi
Nguyen Cong Tuan was the best tour guide ever!!! A war veteran who had amazing stories to tell. An experience that brought tears to everyone’s eyes. He’s a 72 year old full of energy and humor! I don’t think we would have loved the tour as much as we did had he not been our guide. I hope he can give more tours post-pandemic. *We went May 2019*

Remembering the Vietnam War ...
jan 2020.
So much has already been written here about the historic "Cu Chi Tunnels"! It is certainly a must see attraction to all those visiting legendary Saigon, due to its important role in the Vietnam War. It is interesting, but too scenographic, due to restoration works and accessibility necessities. Some parts are quite uncomfortable for tall visitors. Sore legs in the next morning! Enjoy!

WOW SO HISTORICAL
okt 2020. • Prijatelji
All I can say is that my visit to Vietnam was certainly not useless. I was astonished by how clever the Vietnamese were. I learnt so much by this one scenario/trip with my friends. I was so curious about what I saw. I was kind of oblivious by the bugs that were there but thy were harmless throughout the trip. Not only that, there is a gun sight near by. I had never used a gun in my own country, I was so amazed and pleasentful by this activity. Vietnam is so underated! I came from India to learn more about how the Vietnamese defeated the foreigners. Thank you for this lovely experience. Special thanks to the tour guide, they were explaining so thoroughly!

Essential visit for visitors to Saigon
dec 2019.
Great trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Although this was called a "Half day" trip, we left at 8:30am and returned after 4pm, so it was really more of a full day, in case you're planning another activity after. There are two sets of restored tunnels and I went to the standard ones - I didn't elect these but I hear the other set has improved accessibility. The tunnels themselves were very interesting. Of course, effort has gone into the restoration/construction of the site and it's a bit of a conveyor belt but the whole point is to experience what it was like and learn more about the history and this you certainly get to do. Our guide was friendly and informative. There was a stop at a factory making crafts, this dragged the day out longer than necessary, but overall it was a good day out and an essential part of any Saigon itinerary.

An average experience
feb 2020.
We had booked the tour through a local travel agent. The bus full of tourists left from Disttrict 1 traffic signal with our energetic tour guide Ben narrating stories of Vietnam. On the way they stop at a workshop where handicapped atrisans make paintings, pots and nick-knacks. They are little expensive but the horrific war stories that left them handicapped will urge you to pick up something, even if small. In the tunnel premises, the tour guide will walk you through the mine forests where you also get to experience life inside those tiny tunnels. Traps and deadly weapons occupy a major part of the exhibit. The tour ends with a visit to the museum and a shooting range where you can practice shooting for a price. Its expensive! Also, it not advisable to buy bullets as souvenirs for two reasons- -1- They are ages old. Hence risky. 2- They bullets are not allowed during custom clearance, even if you show them your purchase receipt. Carrying arms/bullets is illegal on flights. It was an exhausting half day trip. Though there was a lot of history to soak in, we didn't like the place much. May be it was because of the soaring temperature or perhaps were not prepared for the location.
