Loved the Mosaics in this beautiful little church.
This is a lovely little church that connects the lower and upper parts of the Belgrade fortress. It is built over a scared spring that actually comes up into the alter. The chapel is built in 1937. The inner walls and vaults are covered by mosaics done by painter Đuro Radulović in early 1980's. I loved this as I love mosaics. Worth the effort to find this lovely little church.

    Amazing Little Chapel
The Chapel of Saint Petka is a chapel located in Belgrade Fortress, dedicated to Saint Petka and thought to be erected over a sacred spring. The chapel is designed in a Byzantine-Romanesque style with a rotunda over the principal. Inside, the chapel is generously decorated with mosaics, which could’ve been installed recently given how brightly the colours pop out. As you step towards the chapel, the pendentives upon which the rotunda rests is evident as the builders have not corbelled the corners and instead decorated it with mosaics of angels and the Holy Ghost.

    Most beautiful chapel in Belgrade
This little chapel is absolutely stunning! The frescoes are gorgeous, the exterior beautiful. Easy to miss as its tucked away inside the fortress, but rewards a visit many times over. The "next door" Ruzica Church is another gem.

I truly loved how it was designed, and it is definitely a little hidden gem. The small courtyard is very quaint and peaceful. The inside was ok, but nothing amazing. I would definitely make sure you visit this place, but would not put it at the #1 spot of things to do in Belgrade.

This is a beautiful little church, a hidden gem outside the fortress.
St. Petke's Church is located in the Lower Town of Belgrade Fortress and was erected on the site of a miraculous spring, near the ružica church, erected in 1867. Dedicated to the St. Petka, she is very respected in the Orthodox world.
Its interior walls and vaults cover the beautiful mosaics, which were 1980-83. was created by painter Đuro Radulović. The rich history of this church makes it extremely interesting. The energy in this church is extremely positive. Interestingly, Sveta Petka is primarily regarded as a protector of women, but also an assistant to the sick, the hungry and the poor.
Do not miss it when visiting the area.

It is a bit difficult to find and it is a steep climb up.
Take your time and look around carefully. It's a jewel, full of mosaics...
Don't follow the queue, it is for women only... but use your eyes. Also the exterior is very beautiful.
Go down and turn to the left to find a tram back to the city.

The chapel of Saint Petka is a special place because it contains a spring of fresh water that is believed to be curing all ailments. Many people claim that St Petka's water and prayer have taken away serious diseases form them.
One does not need to be a believer to feel the energy of the place. This chapel is one of the most sacred Orthodox places in Serbia, with very rich and long history.

It's very small church. Hidden below restaurant "Kalemegdanska terasa". It's loved place to visit for many orthodox Christians. Also wedding couples like to make photos here. If visiting Kalemegdanska, it's worth time to come here
