This shrine is a bit away from the trip to the castle... but, definitely, it is worthy a visit. Even more so that the Yonashira shrine.. It has this.. feeling to it... that is more spiritual... at least in my view....

By the time I got to see this shrine I had just about had my fill of shrines. Please don't let me deter you as any Japanese shrine is worth a visit but not one after the other

We happened to be in Matsumoto during its Tenjin Festival. Each neighborhood has an elaborately decorated float that was on display at Fukashi Shrine. There was some sort of a ceremony after which a group of residents went on a small parade but it was without the bigger floats. If visiting during the Tenjin Festival days, it’s worth a stop to check out the cool floats.

not difficult to find, if you have already seen a number of shrines in Japan, don't expect anything new. if you are really into temples, no harm to quickly drop by.

Tucked away down a side street, this is a really nice shrine, very colorful and visually impressive, its clearly well supported by the locals.

Lovely colours, especially when the sun catches them.
Conveys a feeling of tranquility despite not being situated in an isolated area.

If you are in Matsumoto you could take a walk here. We have been to nicer shrines in Japan so would not rate this a must see.
