It's a bridge
sep 2019. • Parovi
It's an old, steel girder bridge

If you like old, steel girder bridges, the you will probably like this one

It has good views across the river to the skyscrapers. .... but 100 yards away on the Bund proper the views are even better

Beautiful Bridge
jul 2019. • Parovi
This bridge is beautiful and so full of history. Take a stroll over it and admire the views of Lujiazui, both day and night. There is also a really good chance that you will spot a few wedding photographs being taken. It is also a great place to take photographs

China's First All-Steel Bridge
okt 2018. • Samostalno
This well-maintained camel-back truss bridge spans the Suzhou Creek, where it joins the Huangpu River at the northern end of the Bund promenade. Noted for being China's first all-steel bridge, it opened in 1908. I first saw the bridge when I stopped at the Monument to the People's Heroes on the promenade. I approached the 350-foot-long span and decided to cross on one of the pedestrian walkways. A bridge and groom strolled ahead of me, stopping midway to pose for a photographer.

A cool breeze blew across the bridge, which was much appreciated on the hot, humid October day. Views from here included Pudong skyscrapers and the Bund. Only a few vehicles crossed the creek while I was there..

Garden (also known as Waibaidu) Bridge has appeared in many films, including Seven Spielberg's "Empire of the Sun." I think it is worth a look when exploring the Bund.

scenic view
apr 2018. • Parovi
the bridge is scenic and provides a good photo opportunity as it crrosses the river, too bad the water is so offcolor and murky though.

Interesting bridge !
okt 2017. • Prijatelji
We discovered this bridge while walking from the cruise terminal toward the Bund . It is old but in perfect condition . It is a good transition point between the colonial buildings of the Bund and the very modern architecture of Pudong . Coming back in the evening , we found the bridge to be lighted and it gave it a different aspect !

A bridge with character!

Old steel truss bridge at the north end of the Bund walkway, between the Broadway Mansions Hotel and the Russian consulate. The bridge is beautifully lighted at night.

Shanghai's Steel Bridge
okt 2017.
Structural and Mechanical Engineers should find this bridge really interesting. Take a walk on this bridge to enjoy the mechanical marvel in Shanghai. Coming from the Bund side, the Russian Consulate is visible on the right side, on the left side if you could spot a classical tower not far from this bridge then you have spotted Shanghai Postal Museum.

First steel bridge in Shanghai.
okt 2017. • Parovi
At the northern end of the Bund, Waibaidu Bridge (as the Garden Bridge is otherwise known) is one of the landmarks of the old city of Shanghai, and spans the Suzhou Creek at the point it joins the Huangpu River.
It's worth crossing the creek by the bridge to take a look at the Russian consulate building round the corner on the other side.
The Garden bridge itself is best viewed by taking a stroll up the Suzhou Creek to the next bridge, from where it provides an impressive foreground to the view of the new high rise building of the Pudong area on the other side of the river.
