If you like Quarter Bred racing and a day at the Casino Slots Ajax Downs is ideal. About an 45 minutes drive from down town Toronto, and 10 minutes from Oshawa, visit Ajax Downs, entrance is free and ample parking is free. There's a nice restaurant and bars there to.

Who doesn't love a scrumptious hot breakfast for dinner? The Getaway Restaurant offers an all day breakfast menu that includes either a fountain drink, tea, or coffee. And with your Winners Circle card you receive an additional 15% off of your meal, which I think is a steal! I love going with my family for the all day breakfast! Or when I go with my boyfriend we are able to have breakfast for under $20.00. I've also tried other dishes from the menu, like the seafood fettuccine and the hot chicken sandwich, which have yet to disappoint! I will continue to go to the Getaway Restaurant at Ajax Downs with my family. There are also some really great servers who have great personalities and that you can have fun with and share a joke with.

Karen and I go here 3 times a year, her Birthday, mine and night before a trip, this place is fantastic. Has all the latest Slot Machines, great restaurant just outside Casino which is nice after a few hours if real lucky....lol And yes do win at times today won $530.00. But this place has the Pony Racing aside from the Slot Machines if that is your fancy. But all locations offer alcohol and or non alcohol drinks whichever you prefer. But I highly recommend this place if your forte, just know your limit and also when to walk away when up. But as mentioned all the latest machines and I do a date night with my wife and after we finish with the Casino we do the dinner at the restaurant a closer for the night. If anyone don't like this place will be very surprised. Very clean and presentable establishment.

I find it hard to believe these reviews. Everyone I have talked to are not happy. All the favorite slots are gone or moved around so you can't find them. they are all over the place. All denominations are mixed together instead of separated by coin denominations. they have minimum coin amounts on some machines example min 20 or 40 nickels $1.00 or $2.00s min. That is not a nickel machine! Most machines that pay off are removed. I am fed up with Ajax slots.

If no manager there expect absolutely terrible terrible service and cold food our waiter went on break after we ordered and we never saw him again food took 1hr and when we asked to speak to a manager none available. Please do yourself a favor and AVOID DONT GO

The restaurant was a real crappy dinner. there was three of us, and all the food was just over room temp. One member of our group ordered steak, which should have come out sizzling and it was cold. our chicken orders were unthawed, just out of the fridge, being precooked, the cheese was not even melted on the chicken parm. The three meals were just under $70.00 Have eaten there before, and not that bad, but this time was the last time we will be dinning there.

We like to go here for the all day breakfast which is $2.99. It's just enough and sometimes you get a coupon for the breakfast even cheaper. After that we go and play the slots a bit.

I hate paying lots of money for terrible food. Had a club sandwich and fries here for $15 and it was awful. I could hardly chew it, it was so dry and unpleasant. McDonald's fries with it. If you are going to charge $15 for a sandwich at least make sure it is tasty, plentiful and well made. Give this place a miss for sure or come away feeling angry at being ripped off.

The Security Staff could really learn something about customer service. Try saying Hi or Hello or even just a smile. If you get a bonus spin, do not get excited because it usually means you will win nothing. Expect to lose and you will not be disappointed. The place is looking old and could use a serious update.

Ajax downs is nice and clean. Always lots of people! OLG sponsored which basically means odds of winning are more regulated than the native casinos. Other than the slot machines and the horse race days in the summer that's about it! No entertainment. There is a nice restaurant and the food is
good. There is no Buffett. It is very hard to get a handi cap parking spot. You can park and wait for the shuttle bus, but no guarantee how long you'll wait. Last time I waited for an hour to find out the bus has gone to Oshawa. Took a while with a knee injury to make it back to my car. Staff are very nice.
