We stayed here for two days in September. A nice little town with a variety of restaurants and shops. Not as busy as the towns of Amalfi and Positano. Actually it was nicer as you did not have to contend with crowds and busy traffic. It has everything Amalfi and Posiitano has but on a smaller scale. Beautiful scenery. Definitely a place I would consider returning to in the future.

We visited Minori during our recent trip to the Amalfi Coast. Nice town and a pleasant break from the busier resorts along the Amalfi Coast. We visited the Villa Romana, wandered through the typical narrow streets and enjoyed a pastry and coffee at the Pasticcheria Da Riso near the Piazza Centrale. We could park nearby which was a definite plus and for a reasonable price. One negative though; we found the shopkeepers generally quite unfriendly in that town, more so than in much more touristy Ravello nearby-surprisingly- and far more than in Naples. Especially avoid the tobacconist on Piazza Umberto I between Antica Barberia and Café Europa; he must be one of the rudest shopkeepers I have ever come across!

It is my estimation that the Gold Coast of Amalfi goes from Amalfi, Atroni, Ravello and Minori. Between these four villages, towns, you have some of the best vistas of the coast. There is also a bunch of great restaurants serving some of the freshest dishes pared with old country peasant dishes. Don't get caught up in going to the BIG name spots, the smaller villages are great finds.

We walked in to the tobaconist between Antico Barberia and Cafe Europa in Piazza Umberto (Minori) and asked if he spoke English. He said you are in Italy, speak Italian!!! I tried German. He said the same thing more sternly. My friend said we are trying to speak Italian and obtain a bus ticket. He told us to GET OUT of his shop, and seemed to be swearing at us in Italian. We are both tall men and were intimdated. I can only assume how other foreigners / tourists would be treated. What a sad reflection of a human in this beautiful country of acceptance and welcoming people. Harry and Doug.

Only 25 minutes by ferry from Salerno this little village is beautiful. The people are friendly. The restaurant choices are many when you consider how small the village is. The beach is small and crowded in-season (we could not get an umbrella-chairs situation at any of the areas, public or private) so be ready to grab a spot on the public beach area and be ready for the hot sand! The Limoncello Trail to Maiori is here but be ready to ascend quite a bit to get there and back. Be careful walking near the roads because the drivers are not the best at staying away from pedestrians! But, overall, a great experience!

Minori itselves has not so much to offer, except that it is still not too busy. Tourists usually skip this small town, so prices are moderate to low, and you can still find some rest and piece in this town. An ideal place to stay and visit the hectic region of Amalfi coast

we were told this place served the best pizza in town. so we tried it. I have to say IT was. tip do not accept the offer of water. they charge about 6euros for it the pizza we shared was only 6.50 euro. I would go for a beer. service was good and they let us share a pizza (trying not to put on too many pounds)

After having just visited Amalfi we were very pleased to come accross Minori. We were able to find a parking spot right on the sea front for only €2 per hour (v. cheap for the area).A very pleasant walk through the back streets and a lemonade, freshly made.Delicious.Sitting there you could people watch in a non commercialised high street watching mostly locals going about there daily business. We just kept putting more money in the parking meter to stay longer.

We are so glad we got to experience the town of Minori as a part of our Amalfi vacation. The small, beautiful town did NOT have a ton of tourists...was easy to get around...and the different people that we met there, were very friendly, accommodating and nice. The town had a nice selection of restaurants...had easy access to ferries...and was very "down-to-earth" and cool. We would love to go back some day...and experience it again....it was wonderful. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our short visit to Minori and actually stumbled upon it after taking a wrong turn on the highway. It worked out well for us because we like seeing the quaint see side village and beach and ended up walking around a bit and having lunch in the main square. Now that we've since been to both Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento, we see how folks could fall in love with this place as it is smaller, more intimate and nice for a change in pace. We did not stay over night or take in more activites that dinner, but it's worth considering for folks traveling with more time on their hands or that want a contrast the the somewhat larger AMalfi coast towns.
