Ravagni since 1421 is a family business which is mentioned for the first time in 1421 at the Florence Archivies and it's included since 1980 in the list of Italian firms. It's pduction oil, wine, vinegar, seasoned oils, soaps, oil based creams and others particular products are handmade and following their season potentiality. The products are not only sold worldwide, but are used by the family itself, family which moved in this area already since the end of the 12th century. We tried and are still trying to keep the working methods as traditional as possible even if many times quality certifications laws and health laws try to bring you to the omologations of perfumes and tastes relatively to the products you normally find in the commerce.Certainly our products are not the best of the Italy but they surely are simple and true. The Proffesor Giacomo Bartolomeiof Ravagni also prints and edits local and Italian history books and not only this.We have real but also virtual shops but we prefer to invite famalies, school and people coming from all over the world in order that they can see, smell and work if they want...

    Fun and Memorable Afternoon
If you are looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon in the Anghiari area with a super host, book this excursion with Francesco! He is a true character, his energy and enthusiasm for his craft is abundant. We had a short tour of his olive press and then went to his house for lunch which is in the most amazing setting. He made us feel at home, the food was delicious, Francesco is a great host, we had lots of laughs. Unfortunately, we we didn’t get to see his olive trees but we did sample and leave with some of his olive oil. The excursion is great value and highly recommended.

Great experience both in respect of amazing food, olive oil and an incredible hospitality of Francesco! He is such a charismatic person, who is doing business with love and passion. Definately will come back with my friends (hopefully next year for the 600 year anniversary of Francesco’s family business!). Highly recommended for those who are looking for a memorable experience of Tuscany - hospitality, tastes, enthusiasm and energy!

Fabulous experience while staying in Tuscany
We spent a few hours with Francesco in early July while we were staying in Tuscany and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We have 3 teenage children and we all loved it. Fun learning about traditional olive oil production, but the experience of spending time at Francesco’s table, in a 450 year old family house, high in the hills, whilst tasting olive oil, enjoying lunch and wine and the other products they make - it was fantastic. We all left with the biggest smiles and bottles of oils. Thank you Francesco.

    Wonderful Experience!
What a wonderful experience we had! There is no question why this is the #1 rated thing to do in Anghiari. Francesco and his wife, Olivia, were exceptional hosts and were incredibly wonderful to speak with. We learned so much more than just about olive oil and wine making. The homemade lunch was great and we were able to choose items to be shipped home.  Without question, this was one of the top experiences that we had on our trip.

Our visit to Ravagni and our time with Francesco and his other guests was easily the most memorable day of our trip to Italy. We first visited the family olive oil mill to see and understand the olive oil-making process, then followed Francesco to his home where his wife had prepared an incredible lunch feast. We tasted the deliciously pure olive oils, balsamic vinegars and wine, and sampled some of the lovely skin care products, too. It was a treat to spend the day and chat with other travelers from all over the world. I can't sing Francesco's praises enough; he is incredibly kind, welcoming, hospitable and generous. Truly a memorable experience!

Our family had an absolutely amazing and memorable experience, beginning with a brief tour and explanation of the olive oil making process, followed by a short drive to Francesco's house for a fabulous lunch. The drive to his house was a bit of an adventure in itself, and when we arrived there, the views were amazing, and a beautiful table was set for our large family. His "light" lunch started with tastings of different olive oils and vinegars. This was followed by a delicious pasta dish and then an assortment of various specialties, and the wine kept flowing. We asked Francesco to order us a special birthday cake for dessert, in advance, as we were celebrating everyone's special birthdays that we couldn't celebrate together over the last couple of years because of COVID. Francesco was a gracious and very entertaining host, and helped to make this day one of the most memorable days of our trip to Tuscany.

Francesco was expert at explaining how olive oil is made and how modern marketing has made us confused about what we buy. When he presented a wide range of samples for us to try, it was lovely to taste the pure flavour of the olives, then some oil infused with herbs and chilis, and then the vinegars from his grapes and honey from the farm. It was a great experience and the food prepared by charming Olivia was simply delicious. Throw in a spectacular view and you have a wonderful memory to take home with cans of oil.

If you are looking for a unique, authentic, interesting and fun experience - this is it! It was fantastic to see the mill and hear some of the nearly 600 years of history. Francesco quickly makes you feel like friends and not only do you get the chance to taste some amazing olive oils, but you get a sense of the “slow life” of italy with a wonderful lunch in great company. We will never forget our afternoon!

Fresh, friendly and fabulous is how I would describe the tour and tasting today.

The selection of olive oil flavours tantalizes your tastebuds and you definitely need to save room in your suitcase to take some home to your friends and family. My favourites were the Rosemary and the White Truffle options, my friends chose the Black Truffle and Oregano and yes definitely plain as well.

Francesco and his family have created an olive oil that is one of a kind and great tasting that dates back to 1421. During our tour of the mill we could see his passion for his family business. We then got to visit his home with a home-cooked meal that was wonderful. We got to taste the variety of his olive oils and beauty products made with his olive oil. The meal was delicious and our group even finished it off with a dance party. While I don't have pictures of the actual product the view from his home was amazing. Would definitely visit again.
