Historically significant and Magnificent tower with a unique architecture
dec 2019. • Samostalno
Located in an unexpected place of Iran, nowadays an insignificant town close to the border between Iran and Turkmenistan, the tower represents a less known Era of Iran's history. It's height is much more than you possibly expect and its architecture is so unique and so beautiful that surprise most of visitors in the first half an hour or so. More than 1000 years old, the tower is actually a temple, located on a low hill in the centre of today's town. The area is famous of its cultural diversity. Although it's dominated by Iranian Turkmans, almost all the ethnic groups of Northern Iran can be found, from Kormanj Kurds, Azari, Sistanians and many more. Local traditional foods and costumes also can be found around the tower which is really fun to visit and experience.

Considered to be a masterpiece of Iranian architecture. The Gonbad-e Qabus tower is the best known tower tomb in northern Iran and has featured in many publications.

The mil-e Gonbad is the tallest brick tower in the world and is known as the best work of human engineering history.

Gonbad Qabus is a historical monument dating back to the 4th century AH, which is located in the city of Gonbad-e-Kavos in Golestan province. The building, which is the world's tallest brick tower, is located above ground slopes that are 15 meters taller than Earth. The height is 72 meters.

Gonbad Qabus or Kavos Tower is one of the most beautiful and most beautiful monuments of the early Islamic period, which despite the very limited use of decorative elements in it, has a proportional, balanced, solid and beautiful structure. apr 2018. • Parovi
After long driving, we arrived to Gonbad Kavus just for visiting Gonbad Qabus tower which is UNESCO World Heritage Site. with 53 meter height , it could be considered as the world's tallest brick building and the only remaining evidence of Gorgan city which was a former center of arts and science in Ziarid dynasty. This tower was made on the order of Qabus Ibn Voshmgir.
After visiting this outstanding tower, you can have a lunch or dinner in a restaurant near it called, Family restaurant and taste traditional food of this area, CHAKDERMEH.

How did they build it?
jul 2018. • Porodično
It’s pretty tall, pretty old and in a good condition. When you stand on the white stone there is a strange echo to everything you say. It’s not a place where you spend a whole day but if you are in the area, it’s worth visiting. There is a nice park below the tower that is very popular.

Mysterious!
feb 2018. • Parovi
This tower is used to be like a lighthouse on land so people passing trough silk road could use it to guide them in the area.
It had been made about 1000 years ago.
It has a special feature which is a spot out side the tower marked by a white stone and when you speak and you face toward the tower it somehow reflect your voice and you will hear yourself. It remained a mystery how it do it!
There are more info about it on the net about the history and how they made it. You can search for the tower’s website.
