Lovely boat trip exploring the east coast of the island. The views are amazing and the trip lasts from 10am-4pm including a barbecue lunch. You firstly stop off for 30mins to jump in the sea from the boat (or just step down a ladder if your not a thrill seeker 🙂) then go to a beautiful small island and you are allowed enough time to explore to island or one again swim around the boat. There are a lot of steps involved with accessing the island and could be quite dangerous, definitely not wheelchair accessible. The barbecue lunch involves meat (or not) with rice potatoes and salad, all very tasty and surprisingly large servings. you then go to marble beach where you can spend an hour swimming in the sea or exploring the beach, we got 4 icecream cones from the cafe there which equaled €12. I didn’t personally like marble beach as much as it has a busy atmosphere and the sea is not clear unlike the rest of the sea on the east coast, but still beautiful. your final stop is a small cove where you can swim in the ocean, you don’t stop for long. Overall it was a very nice day out, with a lovely view of the island. It was very chilled and a nice atmosphere. However wouldn't recommend if you don’t like boats or get sea sick as very choppy and not much shade. Great day to add to your stay at the beautiful Thassos 🥰

Highly recommended for a day out on the water. You take in 4-5 stops including a couple of swimming/snorkeling spots, a climb up a small hill to visit a church with beautiful views and a beach. Lunch is grilled pork, the usual carb overload and salad, all freshly cooked on the boat. We booked direct instead of on the Tui app and saved ourselves €37 because young kids go free. My only complaint is that there weren't any life jackets for small children, which to me, seems an essential safety requirement. Also, there were no snacks on sale, only drinks. Otherwise a perfect day out, and it was a bonus not having to drive to Limenas to pick up the boat and a 6 hour trip was perfect timing. As in everywhere on Thasos, the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly with excellent English.

We went on the Zeus Boat Trip while staying in Golden Beach for 10 days. There was no obvious place to buy tickets but posters were around the resort so I emailed the team to ask about availability. Once confirmed we just turned up and paid on the day.
The trip itself was very enjoyable, stopping off at some beautiful coves for swimming and diving off the boat. A delicious lunch was prepared by the crew and drinks were available on board to but but one was included with lunch. Crew were friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the day.....not expensive at 35 euros per adult.

I wanted the last day of my vacation to be adventurous, this was the opposite. It was a greatly boring experience. The fishing wasn't exciting, you had to wait in a queue for lunch like a prisoner. The food and coffee were nice, not gonna lie. We didn't visit a church as promised, so we were rly let down. We only went to marble beach we were promised 1 hour, we stayed for 33 minutes and we had to run like crazy to catch our boat bc we didn't think they'd leave earlier. We didn't actually go to the Vathi beach because apparently its private and we were watching it from afar like peasants. The swimming stops lasted way too long, got boring. Kinda expensive.

Ok this review is going to be honest and not in line with the other reviews, We booked this trip via our Thomson rep as it had been reduced in price and we always like to go on at least one boat trip while on holiday.

It started ok, but quickly became apparent that we wouldn't be travelling far, you travel around the bay at golden beach (3 Kms) and then back past the port where we started and then anchor around the next headland to fish for about 30 minutes. Then you move round to the next bay to anchor for a swim and lunch, while the lunch was nice the beach is not the best and is fenced off from a former hotel now disused and has a bit of rubbish lying everywhere.

After lunch you move round the next headland to anchor again for another swim and then it's back to port. Which is fine if all you want to do is swim, but we were under the impression that we would see more of the island as had with boat trips on other Greek islands.

To sum up it was ok but not what we were expecting and glad we didn't pay the original price.

definately worth while, the boat not too big, friendly english speaking crew, and a real lazy day if you want. 1st stop to fish for dinner, someone must have caught pork chops cos thats what we had,not many fish biting that day. couple more stops for swimming, snorkling or just throwing yourself off the roof, and even a swim to a small secluded bay...only downfall was the uphill/downhill walk to & from the boat mooring from where we stayed in golden beach, if travelling from further might be worth pre-booking a taxi to pick you up, its a long walkin the ehat. All in all a really great day out and will be doing again when we visit this year.

My wife and I booked last week -July 2016 to see some other parts of the Island and have a day away from the beach which the golden beach is bar far the best. The trip was from 09:45 until 16:00. We were the first to arrive and the crew saw us arriving at the boat but did not acknolwedge us at all and we begab to think perhaps this was not the boat. After 5 mins and some others arrived he then said ok come aboard. The crew became friendlier as the trip progressed. 4 stops but to be honest we were not very far from our departure point. One stop for a quick swim and then the next a fishing stop which we didnt know what was happening until we saw people being given a fishing reel. It went on a bit if your not keen on fishing and only 2 actually caught anything then we moved of travelled around the corner truned around 360* and then stopped again just a very short distance from where we had been fishing. We had lunch here which took some time but was very good. Afterwards we had another stop near marble beach and was told we had 30 mins to swim to beach and back. There was no process to check everyone was back on board again and when we started off again luckily another passenger noticed two people were missing, only then did the boat stop and turn around and sent the tender to teh beach to pick up the remainng passengers. Overall it was good and i like being on boats as its my main pastime, however, dont do this to see more of the island as its limited and time is short to do any swimming. We were told by our rep to take Snorkelling equipment but really waste of time as nothing really to see.

A fabulous day out, sailing around the coast of the island and stopping off for various swims along the way in the gorgeous sunshine. The fun of fishing in the morning and trying to catch anything! A good selection of drinks to be purchased from the bar, a very tasty barbeque (pork chops mainly) and salads (and any fish which we have caught earlier in the day) to be eaten. The host, Manolis and crew are very friendly and professional, keeping everyones safety in mind at all times. A great day out for the single traveller, couples, groups or families. Highly recommended!

We had a very relaxing day out on Zeus. The sea was just a little choppy so we took a different route, some fishing off the boat which our teenagers enjoyed, lunch on a deserted beach and several swim stops. There was plenty of room on the boat, not one of these trips where everybody is fighting for a seat. Lunch was delicious, choice of chicken which was on a skewer, pork chop which was enormous or tuna steak which was cooked to perfection. We bought a couple of drinks from the bar and these were reasonable. We would definitely take a day out on Zeus again when visiting Thassos.
