It was a very small building with a little things to see, honestly we cannot call it a museum and you can see it in just 5 minutes!

The museum is in a small palace of pahlvi period and the palace is located in the north edge of citypark.
It's not bad, but nothing is special.

I recommend it because not only is the visit pleasant and educational on Iranian history but it is in a great location. There is a huge park for people of all ages with tons of greenery. There is a light up fountain which is a pretty sight too. Also a restraunt is also in the vicinity if you are in the mood for traditional Persian dishes.

Office which is transferred to a museum

My husband and I visited Gorgan museum in March 2015. The museum is located in a park in center of Gorgan city. Apparently the building was Mohamad Reza Shah Pahlavi's office and residency during his business trip to the area. The museum displays ornaments and luxurious dishes which were belonged to Pahlavi's Royal family. Also there is a great collection of statues of some Iranian celebrities (Writers, Poet. Artists,....).

a Pahlavi museum
sep 2014. • Parovi
the Gorgan museum has been located in city park of in the center of Gorgan city(in Golestan province, in North of Iran).the town has 2 museums, one is this one in city park while the other one is in another street(Golzar Shohada square).the building of this museum goes back to Pahlavi Dynasty who built it as their accomodation center when coming to north of iran in the park to have more fresh air and view.moreover, the objects this little museum offers are: some statues of famous people of Gorgan whether from previous centuries or contemporary figures, some few objects of Pahlavi dynesty like plates, pots, etc. alongside with personal chamber of the King with furniture.just this.not bad in itself and worth a visit.
p.s.: the other museum mentiones here offers plates, coins, etc. of more ancient times.

Museum of Gorgan located in the city park which is in the heart of the city. The city park itself is a beautiful place to spend your time.
Gorgan is an old city that is why this museum has some valuable things in it . There are also a permanent exhibition of famous Gorgani scientist and poems in the shape of statues.
