If you're in Barcelona and searching for a bar to go to...you found it. I went to this bar on my last visit to Barcelona and fell in love with that place. Why? The staff were very friendly, the drinks were good and with affordable prices, the space very cool - with it's red lights that made the place sexy and comfortable - the music had everything i needed - gave the chance to talk, to dance...a perfect night in Barcelona. Thank you :)

Great music, worth the entrance fee for the atmosphere on both floors

Particularly busy on the weekend after 2am so great for those willing to stay up

Bar service is good but drinks are large for those not used to Spanish measurements

La Tinta Roja is a bar that's also a theatre and a tango club and event space. It shines in its gorgeous cozy, old-timey looks, supposedly inspired by Argentinian tango clubs.
They have theatre nights and workshops, dancing and other activities. I went for an improv comedy night and absolutely enjoyed it . The place seems to attract a varied and international crowd of in-the-know expats and locals alike, which I loved.
Too bad it's a bit pricey and the range of drinks on offer won't wow anyone. Drink size could be better too.
It's a place that deserving of a visit in any stay in Barcelona.

This is a good Mexican Restaurant, specially for the big variety of Tacos and dishes!

They usually have very good weekday offers (Monday to Thursday) which are definetly worth a try.

This is more a “friend” restaurant, where you can come and have a good time with your besties while you eat some Tacos and drink some Margaritas. ;)

I am always happy when I can offer the first English review for a place!
Visited here with a colleague on a Wednesday night from about 2200-2400.
All the other patrons (perhaps about 6 people) appeared to be Spanish locals and the vibe of the place was very much that of a local's bar.
The inside decor & atmosphere is lovely.
The staff is also lovely although they didn't have the best English skills. But we had no real difficulties since beer is a universal language.
My only disappointment was that there was only one Spanish/Catalan draft beer (see picture for beer menu). The others were: UK, Norwegian, and Czech. All good but I like to limit myself to local beer when I visit a new country.
Also there were no beer flights and this was the only beer bar I visited in Barcelona (total of 5) that didn't have a flight. But they did have half pints.
Even though the word "Jazz" is in the name, the music was not obtrusive and it was easy to have a conversation.
Will definitely visit again if I'm ever in Barcelona.

Found this little gem of a bar just off the busy Parallels and Calle de Blai.. So friendly and welcoming by the Manager. Estrella Galica on tap- which is 1 of the best Spainish draught beers!! Cocktails, Pinxos and Sheesha. Excellent seating area in a chilled out environment. Well worth a visit.

As huge rock/metal fans we visited after googling rock bars in Barcelona, a 10 minute taxi drive out of the main tourist area didn't deter us - on a Friday night at 10.30pm we thought this place would be buzzing - we arrived to find an empty bar - not a sinner in sight except a grumpy barman! We attempted to make light chat with him in an attempt to find out if it picked up later but got a gruff "I don't speak English" - now we are in no way fussy but this place is not worth the trip and is located in what seems to be a fairly dodgy area, we wish we hadn't bothered, we drank up and got out! Go to bollocks bar or el trece instead - psychobar do not want to make you welcome and do not want your business especially if you only speak English - you have been warned!! ;p
