This place is a bit tricky to find, we asked lots of people and got sent on wild goose chases but found it eventually. First catacombes I have ever visited. The archaeolgist/guide was very good but would have liked a booklet to buy to take home to read at leisure. Definitely worth booking, it's very interesting I could have listened to the history all day.

You better use google maps to navigate, otherwise it's easy to overlook. Below street level, collapsed, hidden in vegetation. But it's still magical for those who know it's story. There is no mention about thelema abbey in official city guides - seems like its a delicate matter and a burden for the local authorities. Actually I don't blame them, I like it better this way than turned into a big tourist attraction.
