A bit disorganized. We were thankful to have prebooked. The staff are young kids who need more experience and training. Parking was probably the easiest part in the paid lot across the street. We booked Lido Plus but I can't say we got anything more for the Plus part. It all looked the same to us. The beach is crystal water and nice sand. We found it odd that they do not include towels with your stay. Most higher end beaches include towels. As other reviewers have stated, the app does not function well. Their fruit is fresh and great in the heat, but our lunch at their restaurant was average. The pasta was not cooked or close to al dente in two dishes, a nightmare to try to chew with good teeth. Wish we had all ordered the pizzas instead. They advertise that if you pay Lido Plus that you get a special restaurant. We were simply seated with the regular beach goers in the chaos with flies everywhere. Bathrooms need to be improved and the showers really truly need solar hot water heaters-hard to convince kids to get under freezing water to get clean. They're trying, but it needs improvements. It's a shame because the beach is unbelievable.

Cala Uccello is small beach, which could be accessed from a road with borders the airports fences. It is small and cozy.
Different experience from many other beaches in the island.

We have just returned from Castellammare and had a lovely break. We stayed at the Hotel Punta Nord-Est which is ideally positioned to walk into town. The old town is lovely to explore with no shortage of great places to eat - the marina is fascinating as it is also a functional fishing port and every morning the boats display their catch which is soon snapped up by local eateries - this is a sea-food lover's heaven. We enjoyed a small family run restaurant called Petrolo - if you are there then try it. We used it as a base to travel out to local sites etc. during the day - ideal for this and just 30 minutes from Palermo. The one small criticism we had was that for such a lovely town it needs more care cleaning the streets and pavements. Well worth the visit though .

This is a good location to have a drink and look out over the harbour. Service was a little slow but our waiter was friendly enough.

Best beaches are towards the east, less stones and lighter colour than northern Italy. Capo D'orlando has a lot to offer, you've got to get a car and find it!

    Do not visit.

We had a week booked here in September 2022 but left after 3 days as the place is terrible.

There is nothing here for tourists to do or see apart from some restaurants and a harbour.

We expected a quaint fishing harbour but unfortunately we got a dirty, run down and unsafe fishing village. The beach is small and stoney and any decent beaches are a train ride away.

The paths are virtually non existent and when there are paths they are broken and uneven. The roads are not much better. Not a place for people who do not drive or more importantly have mobility issues !

This beautiful cove and beach between Aci Reale and Aci Trezza could be a wonderful walk. But (like other places in Sicily) it´s a pity that this path along the sea (the "Lungomare" of the Cyclops) is cut off by "Lidos" and other private properties that push the walker onto the narrow and busy road some meters up inland.

On the same site as the remains of the ancient city and the museum on the outskirts of Marsala, this has underground caverns around the ancient spring, under the church floor. You will never find it open, though.

Not grand, but typical in its Mediterranean allure. There are fisherman boats and boats for round trips moored in the inner basin, plus a quay for cruise ships at the western end. Several restaurants and wine bars frame the port, which is dominated by the ancient castle built in volcanic stone.
