It was a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend and I can’t wait to get home and cook for the family.

I do not think the Conti store is open any more. It is not in the Central Market. I sent some emails from their web page which is still active but I had no response to 2 emails. I asked about them in the Central Market and I was told that they went out of business. I always patronized Conti and Baroni when I went to the market. They were right next to each other. A new store is there now.
If they are somewhere else I’d like to know.

Our three course cooking class with Melanie was delightful. She drove us to her family olive grove which overlooks the rolling hills of Tuscany. In the charming outdoor kitchen, we learned how to prepare an eggplant appetizer, creamy risotto and a decadent no flour chocolate cake - all of which were delicious. Melanie's instructions were clear and encouraging. We look forward to recreating all the dishes at home. She also gave us a tour of the olive grove, pointing out the various fruits and vegetables that grow on the property. The whole experience was quite personal and customized. We felt like instant friends.

A great way to enjoy the food market and then learn how to cook some great traditional Italian dishes and eat them together, all washed down with some lovely Tuscan wine. A magic few hours of fun. Great to share with family and friends.

This was a wonderful time for my mother sister and me. Caterina and Nicolo were awesome hosts and chefs. We started with a market tour meeting Caterina's various friends , ie butcher, barristas, cheese friends, nut and dried fruit friends. Informed us how poorly we eat with processed food in the states. I believe there is some truth to that as my GI issues have never been this calm. We then watched Nicola and a lucky volunteer make a bolognese sauce. We then did tiramisu and tagliatelle and ravioli. All were absolutely delicious!! They gave us delicious wine. Good times and friends were made. Maybe market tour could have been shortened but we were ae to try some wonderful cheeses there.

Our food tour guide Alessandro was amazing, and this tour was one of the highlights of our Florence trip. It was clear from the very beginning that Alessandro knew so many of the locals, everyone working in the shops and the food market knew him, hugged him hello, and stopped to chat. Let me warn you ahead of time, don't eat a thing before this food tour, as there are so many delicious stops, almost too many to count. We started at 9:45AM sharp, and took in one of the oldest bakeries in Florence, follow by stop after stop of fantastic food. My favorites were the deep fried squid with lemon and zest, the boiled meat sandwich with pesto, the gelato, and the wine shop with antipasta was a welcome reprieve. The characters we met along the way were just as interesting as the food; sometimes crusty, sometimes sweet, both the food and the people. Charming. Delicious. Must do. Serious. Must do.

During my stay in Firenze, I went to museums and ate great Italian food, in the most beautiful city in the world. I visited Moda Bella leather factory twice to buy a leather jacket. The first day, the seller, Marco was very nice to me with a friendly personality. Unlike other sellers, he took his time with a demanding buyer like me, showing me all the jackets I wanted to try. Undecided, the next day I went back and bought a wonderful leather jacket I wanted. I recommend Moda Bella to everyone who visits Florence and want to buy leather: not to waste their time and go straight to Marco’s shop. Not only because of the quality and the discount that I got from him but also to receive the Florentine experience, because he also advised me what to see and where to eat!!!

We had a wonderful day, the only thing we didn’t like was that the sun sets at 5 (winter) so when you get to San giminiano , the last stop, it is already dark so you can’t se anything and mostly all stores and restaurants are closed, and you get to do nothing because they give you only 40 minutes to try to find something that is open. I recommend you visit only two spots ( instead of three) so yo get more time on each, and get to enjoy and visit more important sites on each.
The bus is super clean and the two guides very friendly and with a lot of patience they explained all the important points about each place we visited. The sienna guide Anna very friendly and did her job very well,
The bus driver didn’t drive very well, he drove too fast and with no caution.

My husband and I did this tour in Feb. ‘20 and enjoyed it so much, we took it again. This time we brought our adult children and my sister (6 total). Dina was our guide and she was fantastic!! It was very similar to the original tour, but we did go to different places since Covid affected some of those restaurants. We had a lovely tasting of wines, olive oils and balsamic vinegars. The gelato place was closed, so she took us for tiramisu and that was SO good!! This is a great tour to do when just arriving to Florence.

Francesco was very kind and knowledgeable of all things Italy. Not just the great food! The food was spectacular and was exactly what we were looking for. A taste of local cuisine that we would not normally see in our home Country. We also had some train delays, so we were unable to meet at the exact start time. The tour operator was great to speak with and provided me solutions to our issues. Top to bottom great service and tour!

This tour made us fall in love with Florence, Julia was hands down the best tour guide we ever had, she genuinly loves the city and eager to share that joy with everyone, detailed explanations, fun facts, all in all best spent hours. Even our 8 year old had a great time. Thank You Julia!!
