This is easily in my top 3 museums in the last few years in Europe, a must! You will be impressed by the history and all the tools from the collection!

This is a very nice place to know Leonardo Da Vinci creations and how did they work. But this is a small place, and tranlated explanations are bad, at least to Spanish. However I recommend to go and understand some ingeneering problems.

It is a good place to spend half an afternoon and learn in a hands on way about Leonardo‘s inventions. The museum has two rooms full of his machines and they can all be touched to understand the system behind which is kinda cool! Only problem is that it gets full, loud and crowded with kids fairly fast

We had a little time and tried this out. Spent 1 1/2 hours here with our two teenagers. The staff was not only friendly but VERY knowledgeable and helpful. The illusions were great and educational! The kids had a blast and we did too. Plus, some GREAT photos to hold on to the memory. Definitely worth the money - we bought the family ticket.

The collection of rocks and minerals is among the best of the many natural history museums I have visited. Pure art! Nature's art in a city of spectacular manmade art. The colors and shapes are riveting if you stop to take a look at the individual pieces. Just fascinating. Yet, a few tourists just stuck their head in from the doorway and never entered the room. If you like color and design you will spend a couple of hours here and be rewarded. Some Medici gems were on display. Rocks carved into functional works of art. The taxidermy was also fascinating and extensive. Didn't see the anatomical wax works. Was eager to return on my next visit to the city and sorely disappointed to find the museum closed for renovations. Visited April 2019. The drop down menu only goes to 2020 so I had to choose a 2020 date.

Let me start by saying..I love traditional, victorian style museums...from the vast catalog of the similar items on display to the historic display cases. Needless to say I was not disappointed in my visit to the anthropology museum. I was on a guided tour with a group of college students and the guide did an excellent job putting an updated spin on the museum. Having said that I would still rank La Specola (the natural history museum with taxidermy and the anatomical waxes) as a much higher option for those who like old style museums.

Visited this place recently on an organised school trip whilst in Florence. The location was a bit strange and felt very out of place however the museum itself was great. Plenty of things to do and play with. We were lucky enough to have been given a presentation by an Italian lady who spoke English. Bearing in mind she was explaining some complicated theory's, she did an excellent job keeping us and the students entertained and informed. Highly recommend going

The VR experience is short but amazing . I think this is how the museum future should look like.
The projection part is a deep dive into Da Vinci’s mind.
