The Chianti Safari was amazing! It was such a cool tour, and our guide Alessandro was awesome. He was so entertaining and passionate about the wine of his country. We learned so much and had a fantastic time, it was a highlight of our trip!
Absolutely beautiful! This was one of the highlights of our trip. AMAZINGLY beautiful! Stopping to see the eating tower was fun too. Our driver was great. really good!
We had a blast at the 4 villages we visited. Some of the trips were very challenging with many hills/slopes & steps to climb. Tour guide Roberto is very organized, kind and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
We spent the morning with Guido on our tour, who brought so much knowledge and perspective to our tour! His sensitivity to our needs was plainly evident as he made sure we were comfortable in climbing the dome and made it OK for those who didn't want to. Very thoughtful and knowledgeable, wonderful guide!!!
This was such a fun and interesting day. We made great friends with our group and we loved our friendly helpful guide Gabriele. The day was varied with a stop off for a view of Florence, a horseback ride, visit to San Gimignano, gelato stop, and a delicious lunch with wine tasting. We tried 8 different wines. We learned a lot. We had a high spirited minibus ride home singing along to the radio with our new friends. Brilliant day-most memorable tour we’ve done.
Medieval Gems was an absolutely fantastic tour. Both guides were friendly and helpful, knowledgeable and entertaining. It was a very long tour but was extremely well planned with very little time being ‘stuck’ on the bus. The wine tasting was such fun- informative and entertaining whilst also including delicious wines. The flexibility within the planning was ideal- having this options of time alone or with the group. This tour is well worth including in your itinerary in Firenze! A brilliant opportunity to learn the history and see the remarkable Chianti region. Highly recommended. Michael
Giovanini runs an excellent tour on really nice, comfortable e-bikes. It pays to follow his pre ride instructions. Validate your ticket on the bus ride up and have some lunch before you leave. Our tour met at 12 and we all had a quick safety ride so Giovanni could check seat height and evaluate the riders. And then we were off. After the hustle and heat in Florence, this was stunning. Gentle climbs, quiet roads and stunning scenery. We finished with a really nice afternoon meal with a glass or 2 of wine to fortify us then downhill back to base. I ride a lot and my wife is more tentative and we both had a wonderful afternoon
Our tour guide Nathan was awesome! He was very informative and had funny jokes. The 2nd vineyard was better than the first, seemed more like a professional vineyard. Only had bread and a dessert cookie, for the dessert wine, at the 1st vineyard. Liked the 2nd one better. Both had awesome wine tastings. Would recommend.
Highlight so far of our trip to Tuscany. We met with our truffle hunting dog Jeo and the master truffle hunter Massimo and walked the woods at one of his favorite spots. It was very relaxing walking in nature, learning about truffles and foraging for food. There were just about to flower wild strawberry, blackberry and asparagus plants. And we were lucky enough ( well Jeo was able to find ) 4 spring white truffles ti use in our lunch after getting back to their house were his sister gave us a cooking lesson on how to incorporate truffles into food. A wonderful day was had by all
What an amazing time! Francesco was a local rock star on wheels. The history notes and sights where amazing and we got a sense of the real Florence, history, and energy of the city. Our guide was really informative and funny and we had a great time with the other couple on the ride. 10 stars for Francesco!
This was a looong day but such a nice change from our usual days of walking around Florence. We enjoyed all the experiences of the whole day (bus, train, scenery, history, view, etc.). Renata was a great guide and pointed out many unexpected surprises (marble on the mountains) and gave great suggestions for where to eat. Great value—-would definitely recommend.
