- DoverDaddyEmsdale, Canada665 contributionsThis is a neat little attraction that doesn’t take long to visit. Huge tea plantation with a store and restaurant located inside.Written February 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FredDeManVolgograd, Russia48 contributionsThere isn't a whole lot to see here. Basically it's a walk through several greenhouses showing the stages of pineapple growth. We piggybacked on a bus tour guide which was much better than wandering around alone.
There's a nice cafeteria selling everything pineapple flavoured. The pineapple gelato is especially nice.
It's definitely true that these pineapples are better than the more common Hawaian style ones.Written March 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Camper209513397745 contributionsvery nice to take a look in the greenhouses, the visit is free. At the end you can taste a free liqueur and pineapple jam, this jam is heavenly. I bought this too, and we also ordered a delicious lunch. In the shop / restaurant you can buy various things and eat and drink. Parking is on their own property.Written November 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Christine C2 contributionsWhat a fantastic place, staff are knowledgeable and more than happy to give you more information or just show you around. The entire experience is built upon the level of interest you show and nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely a must do, doesn’t take long but lots of really interesting history to learn about!Written September 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Codie T1 contributionMy 8 year old daughter and I visited Gena and Joao’s farm this week and it was hands down one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Azores! These experiences are truly what travelling should be about. We learnt so much and had the best time. I have such an increased appreciation for all the work that goes into dairy farming. Gena’s homemade cream cheese was the best I’ve ever tasted (bring extra cash because you can purchase some if you like!)! My daughter keeps asking me if we can go back and that she wished we could have stayed longer 😊. Highly recommended!!Written April 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ansween1 contributionWe had an absolutely lovely afternoon with Carolina and her bees! She was flexible when the weather didn’t behave and was so knowledgeable about her craft! This is something Ive always wanted to do and this trip did not disappoint! We even found the queen!Written March 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Miranda Marie F1 contributionGreat family activity on São Miguel island. Our 8 year old son had a magical time snuggling bunnies and baby goats. We learned a lot from our excellent and knowledgeable bilingual guide. I recommend a visit to this amazing farm!Written March 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sarah RChicago, IL2 contributionsThis was one of our favorite things we did during our trip to the Azores. The host, Ricardo, was very friendly and informative. All of the goats have names because they feel that it's important to know them by name and not just a number. The tour was great and our time spent with the goats was amazing. We all got a chance to milk a goat and then try the milk that we got. Breakfast was very good with an array of fruit spreads, fresh cheese, pork, bread, coffee, and tea. Ricardo was an amazing host and made a point to remember our names. If you're planning a trip to the Azores, this is a must see.Written September 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
