What travelers are saying
- FredDeManVolgograd, Russia48 contributionsThe main attraction of this park is the large hot pool it contains. It isn't very hot but, because of its size, it doesn't feel crowded.
Furnas is a navigation nightmare and finding parking is not trivial. Also the park closes early (1630 at this time of year).
The changing rooms are being rebuilt, and the temporary changing rooms and toilets are completely inadequate. Probably unworkable at the busier times of year.Written March 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Their outdoor coffee shop was also quite an unexpected surprise. Their breakfasts and lunches were simply incredible as well as being very freshly made and quite healthy.Written September 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maxim SSomerville, MA33 contributionsAnother example showcasing the richness of flora able to thrive on the Azores. Offers a pleasant stroll and ability to explore collections such as the native Azorean garden and valley of ferns.Written July 11, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gardengel-IoWWest Sussex, UK810 contributionsA privately owned garden and so there is an entrance fee here. I went with a group so cant remember what it was but not very much. Some very old tree and huge bamboo stands.
Mainly greenery at this time of year but promise of colour from springtime. Would go again.Written January 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We didn’t have one but managed to talk our way in with a photo of a passport!
Also they’ve got decent toilets

- allanriley9Mandurah, Australia776 contributionsThe gardens are in town and you literally wander into them as you move through the streets. A nice little green oasis with some lovely red/orange shrubs when we visited. Nice to sit on a bench and watch the world go by for a few minutes.Written November 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LesterbeachWinnipeg, Canada4,216 contributionsThis is a very small garden beside the library archives and museum. The museum of sacred art is worth a visit as well. You will notice it from its ornate exterior. The park has many benches and is more of a meeting place or relaxing place than a nature attractionWritten February 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
