    The column bears the statue of the saint St. Oronzo. It is said to have been very important to the town of Brindisi as well and has even caused disputes between the two towns. A nice monument located in a spacious square.

    This obelisk, erected in 1822, stands in the center of a traffic circle, separated from Porta Napoli by Piazzetta Arco di Trionfo. It is decorated on all four sides by relief panels and was erected to commemorate the visit of Ferdinando I di Barbone.

    Bartolomeo Tito was an Italian commander who participated in several battles as a mercenary. Later becoming a Knight and then Captain of the flag. This memorial is located in the small green Piazetta Raimondello Orsini located across from the Museo del Teatro Romano. It shows Fanfulla in a one legged kneeling position with head bowed. Upon the pedestal is a plaque. There is also signage located with in the Piazzle explaining his exploits and history of the memorial. This monument has been moved many times since its creation and has resided within this Piazetta since 2000.

    It stands in a small park directly across from Chiesa di Santa Chiara. You can take a quick look as you enter or leave the church.

    This war memorial commemorates those who perished in both the 1st and 2nd World wars. It is located across the street from Porta San Biagio in Piazza d’Italia. Constructed of stone, bronze and marble in 1918, it features a large centered stone obelisk with two wings with numerous plaques on both sides. In the front of the memorial is a statue of a woman who is an allegory of Victory.

    This monument commissioned in 1898, by the mayor of Lecce, rests in the eponymous square and depicts the Duke standing with his left hand on a chair and his right offering a copy of his Memoirs. At the base of the pedestal is a figure of a woman representing freedom.

    This monument to Giuseppe Libertini, a native Leccean, is located in the eponymous square. Libertini was born in 1823 and died in 1874 in Lecce. This monument located behind Castello Carlo V remembers him.

    Located within the central gardens of Lecce, this monument features a bust of Giuseppe Garibaldi atop a stone pillar mounted upon a base with 3 steps. Within this grand park, it is just a simple monument that can be missed.
