- TravelGirlDC7Arlington, VA17 contributionsSuper cute fun exhibit you can drive or walk by and check out if you are in the area. My 16 yo niece was visiting from FL and had read about it online. Just takes a few minutes but it was fun! Love pilgrim Barbie’s!Written November 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CatzmotherPine Knoll Shores, NC557 contributionsThis hotel was fantastic in every way! The location is perfect for access to the museums on the National Mall and the wharf - very easy walks and very accessible. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the rooms are large, comfortable, beautifully appointed and quiet. The only slight negative was the shower - the pressure wasn't as strong as I prefer but it was a minor issue. I can't wait to stay there again!Written December 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Travel_Girl_ReviewsLondon, UK523 contributionsThis is a lovely area to walk around in and see the impressive Embassy buildings, museums and old houses.
In spring it is even more lovely as there are the most impressive flowers and scents.Written June 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LostInTimePittsburgh, PA11,753 contributionsI like the squares in DC. It makes the city feel more European. This one is pretty nice and has a big statue to look at. The roads around it do have a lot of traffic.Written March 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SamUlaanbaatar, Mongolia12,111 contributionsBeautiful arch representing the Chinatown neighborhood in the city. Lot of bars and restaurants nearby as well. - Rafi MAlexandria, VA194 contributionsA visit to U street is not complete unless you stop here. The half smoke is out of this world, delicious and messy.Written January 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - montanapescadoAlbuquerque, NM1,316 contributionsThe various options of the Plaza itself are nothing to make a trip for. Best only of you happen to be there and don't want to take the time to go anywhere else. The prime benefit here is adjacency to a metro station which is convenient to the National Mall/Smithsonian.Written February 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - montanapescadoAlbuquerque, NM1,316 contributionsI left the DC area in 2010 and always wondered why there was no site commemorating the First World War. Fortunately that has been rectified and it was good to be able to see this on my most recent visit. It's not the most compelling of our war memorials, but I like the location and layout, and it's well worth a stop.Written March 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JagzzzWeymouth, UK17 contributionsWe rented an apartment in H St between 6th and 7th for an 8 mth stay. Not knowing Washington or H St we have been pleasantly happy with the area.
We gather this has been an area that has been re-generated over the last few years and this certainly seems to be the case.
There is a Whole Food shop almost opposite and we can also walk to a Giant food store too.
The roads off H St seem nice residential streets.
We are happy to walk to Union Station and have always felt safe.
Good provision of busses and street car. Metro at Union Station about 15-17 min walkWritten September 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alejandro BOttawa, Canada971 contributionsI came to this venue on a whim after seeing an ad for a show that was being put on by the Mosaic Theater Company. Not only did I love the building--I found the location to be perfect for small, intimate performances--but I left in awe of how good the show was. My only "complaint" is that I cannot come regularly as I don't live in Washington.Written December 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As I was heading towards the DC Mall, I disembarked from the bus at what I considered a suitable stop and voila! I found myself at Farragut Square.
I had visited the square some years previously, but this new visit wasn't planned. Since I was already at the square, I decided to start my tour of the Mall from there.
Farragut Square is a serene oasis nestled amidst towering buildings, with the statue of David Glasgow Farragut as its centerpiece.
The square's charm lies in its simplicity, with flowers bordering its edges, lush greenery offering pleasant respite and gentle sidewalks.
Although it's a small space, it's well worth a visit, especially if it's on your route to the National Mall or the White House. Or if you are catching a bus from there, allow some extra time to appreciate the square while awaiting your bus.Written August 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I had to research a bit and it has a twin in Ueno, Tokyo. So cool, worth a quick checkWritten October 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
