What travelers are saying
- Brandon KFlagstaff, AZ1,953 contributionsI end up here every trip to DC, mainly because the conference I usually go to is nearby and Union Station is a great place to grab a quick lunch, hit the drugstore for room supplies, and just hang out in the marble halls watching thousands of people rush through. There is also a pretty good tourist gift shop on the far end of the shopping area on the top level that I often get gifts from before heading home. It is worth at least 15 minutes to wander through and think of all the history that has come through here.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tisha LTucson, Arizona4 contributionsWe got on at the Warf and just rode to Alexandria and National Harbor. My daughter has a hurt foot, so we didn't get off to visit anywhere, but we thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Our Captain was fun and informative. The scenery was breathtaking. I would do this again in a heartbeat.Written May 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- julesvacationNew York City, NY58 contributionsConvenient and inexpensive for getting around the tourist sites between Union Station to the Lincoln Memorial. The bus drivers are cordial and most helpful especially when my husband left his backpack on one of the busses. Shout out to Tracey and Clark who went above and beyond to help us. Fortunately, we were able to track down the bag using Apple’s Find my Device. However, there customer service for Lost & Found protocol needs serious review. When you call the rep is cordial as well, however all they can do is issue a ticket and someone would call you in a few days (not helpful if you’re in DC for a short stay). Worse is they can’t give you a ticket number or any type of confirmation that you actually placed a lost & found call.Written September 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BrellieWashington DC, DC1,294 contributionsThe metro is improving. For anyone over 65 they should look into a senior metro card. The card are yellow and can be bought at metro locations but not at the metro station.Written January 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert T1 contributionSecond trip to DC booking round trip DCA to hotel and back with Senate Transportation Services. Our driver Fawad was professional and prompt. He met as at baggage claim and handled all of our luggage. He had 3 car seats installed in his SUV for us as planned. Will certainly use again.Written February 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Prawet JWashington DC, DC13,366 contributionsThis street car line is the first street car to open after the original line was closed in 1962. Although it is a very short distance (, this is a beginning of bringing street car back to the city to serve as one of the transportation system in Washington D.C. It is a nice attraction for tourist and a nice way to transport people to various spots in the H Street Corridor and to connect with existing services and neighborhoods. Currently it is free for the District residents and visitors. Come to enjoy good food and good bars in H Street area via Metro and connecting to the Streetcar D.C.Written April 26, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KHATRI_TANZANIADar es Salaam, Tanzania694 contributionsUsed Amtrak to travel from Union station in Washington DC to New York. Services were fine, seats were comfortable, it was fully occupied and there was a big queue of passengers at the station for going to the train, in normal coach class they do not have seat numbers which you can reserve at the time of booking, so chances are there if you will be a family of three or four travelling together, you will end up seating separately. If you look at the Amtrak trains you may end up comparing them with those which are in Europe, yes comparatively they are the same except speed wise Amtrak is too slow while the European ones are super fast.Written September 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SamUlaanbaatar, Mongolia12,111 contributionsSweet 45 minute ride from the Wharf to Georgetown. At $24 I consider it pricey but I had a good time. Saw a lot of monuments.Written April 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tre S38 contributionsHands down this was the best bus ride I had EVER taken. Greyhound, Trailways, Peter Pan, Mega Bus and all others have absolutely nothing on The Jet bus service. The bus was clean, attendant was great and the driver was on point. The seats felt like I was foating in air the entire time. I love the comp wine/beer. The snacks are real cheap. My over all experience was 5 star.Written March 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Ed G MPenticton, Canada158 contributionsOur driver was Fahad M. What a super day. We had a second cab as my friend has back issues and cannot walk distances. The day we were in DC the Big Bus was not running due to a marathon. We did not know. Were at the Lincoln
Memorial and thought we were out of luck. Ran into Fahad by fluke! He and his buddy took us on a perfect tour; went places we would have missed for sure. Fahad was friendly and incredibly knowlegeable. I have been to DC many times but our friends, first time. I learned new things and Warren and wife were blown away. Can do hourly or part hour tour. We did 2 hours ending at the Whitehouse. Fahad bent over backwards to help my buddy. Super day for sure. Rate him 10 stars out of 5. His buddy as well. Should add, I am 230 pounds and 6foot 2, my buddy is pushing 400 pounds. He said the day was perfect!Written October 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
