Are they accusing our ancestors of having robbed a whole continent? Or are they celebrating Africa's hope and many riches. In the midst of always busy Mombasa, life seems to adopt a slower beat in their shadow (and that of the little park close by.

This is a good half trip to do from Kisumu. The rock formation is striking as is the surrounding landscape. The tour given by the local guide is detailed and provides lots of information the cultural significance of the place for the Luo communities. It is also relatively accessible from Kisumu. Just take a matatu from the national petrol station, and then a walk/boda ride from the main road.

Pretty gardens and interesting. Have good views of Nairobi’s skyline. However, there is too much trash and that distracted me from enjoying them. I went there because I had been told one gets good views of Nairobi’s skyline. Once there I realized Kenyatta International Conference Centre is more suitable for that purpose.

Great for clothes shopping. Bought 2 stunning caftans, only 1,000 Kenyan Shillings each = 8 Euros. I was lucky enough to have a local with me, so I probably got a better deal.

First time visit after the renovation.
I loved the concept. Separating the cars from the walkway was the best idea.
Fully lit up at night is brilliant.
However, needs to be maintained as there are gaps in the drainage where a child could break a leg running.

Amazed to see and stand where mother mary stood. Amazed at the powerful spring that started flowing from where she stood.
    Mother mary, pray for us.

Kind of a almost not there, but there it is suddenly. A sign and a bunch of souvenir shops trying to take advantage of those who notice the equator sign. Loved the “teacher” showing the difference in water directions; simple and effective.

We visited this attraction and had the demonstration of the water which is an interesting phenomenon which occurs at the equator. Not to be missed if you're in the area. Good shopping close by. There is no charge for this as it is a sign marking where the equator is.

Lunatic Line is now replaced by the "Madaraka Express" from Mombasa to Nairobi. Only some old sections are operated, but not useful for tourists. Madaraka Express ( ~ 5 h NBO - MBA )
    has priority for busines travellers.

Lovely view from the top of Mdando Rock and a good chance to stretch one’s legs. (Voi Safari Lodge offered to serve us dinner there but we declined as the 5Pm time diid not suit our game driving. Something to consider in the future if the hotel still offers this.)

If you are looking for affordable items this is the street to go to in Kenya, however watch out for people who are up to no good. I only go there if its something I really have to get.

To correct the review below the Eye of Kenya is taller than the Cape Wheel and it is less than half of the price. It also has the most fantastic views and service!
