One of the highlights of my trip to Davao City. Instead of taking a taxi or Grab, I decided to take a jeepney ride. Take a jeep to Calinan Transport Terminal and ride a van with label “CALINAN”. Travel time is approximately 1 hour. I asked the drover to drop me at Calinan Market and from there, I took a pedicab towards Philippine Eagle Center. My fare totaled to almost ₱300 instead of the ₱1,300++ if I took Grab.

Take time to observe the birds and be respectful of the surroundings (no noise is allowed, no littering, no scaring the animals, etc.). Try to leave some tip as well as this will go to the management of the center. Don’t forget to bring some insect repellant. Mosquitoes are everywhere!

The only thing that I didn’t like is the small enclosure of the majestic Philippine eagles. I wonder if they get depressed inside their very small and restrictive cages!

After my visit, I went out to the highway and hailed a pedicab and headed nearby Malagos Garden Resort (fare is ₱30).

From Malagos Resort, I went across the highway and took a pedicab towards Calinan. I asked the driver to drop me at “L300 or Taloda”. From there, just ride the van going to Roxas Night Market (just across Ateneo De Davao) for a sumptuous and cheap dinner.

From Philippine Eagle Center, I took a pedicab towards Malagos Garden Resort (fare: ₱30). Entrance to the resort is ₱495 and you are not allowed to bring in food/fruits (you may leave them at the reception area).

The ₱495 includes a complementary snacks of tuna and chicken sandwich with banana chips. The food is really filling and their restaurant is really cozy.

It was raining hard when I get there so I had no chance to visit the whole resort. The attractions closes at 5pm so better be early when you go there so you can enjoy the attractions. My suggestion is wake up at 6am and travel towards Philippine Eagle Center. From the center, go directly to Malagos Garden Resort and stay there until 5pm.

After my visit, I headed towards the exit and took a pedicab towards Tolada in Calinan (fare is just ₱30). Then took a van (fare is approx ₱60) towards Roxas Night Market (just across Ateneo de Davao) where I had my dinner.

This stop was part of our Tri-Island tour. We really enjoyed this spot! This is where we had our ‘seafood spread’ boodle fight lunch. We had been to two boodle fight lunches and this one was by far the best tasting one we had!
Daku also has a great swimming area. On this tour they were also offering guests to wear a mermaid fin to get photos. Great stop on our trip-island tour!

Very green and beautiful island, but not much of a beach scene. A little underwhelmed. White Beach sandbar is excellent for IG, but to swim and frolic? Not really... too rocky with white corals (not pure white sand). Mantigue Island was a little better. If you like waterfalls and scootering around, this is a island to do it. Not much of a party scene or central place where people gather. The 4th star was for the island's hospitable people; otherwise, 3 stars.

The island is literally naked and bare so it’s the perfect spot to get away from it all. We brought wine glasses and bottles of rosé which we sipped while watching the beautiful sunset by the shore.

Its already my Nth time to visit Enchanted River in Hinatuan. Since 2014, it is still enchanting.

Fish feeding every 12noon and 3pm daily brings out the best view where fishes from the deepest part of the water comes up and show its beautiful colors.

This island was part of the Tri-Island tour we booked. This was a very relaxed island. Beach volleyball court, a little stand for food. We enjoyed a shake on the beach and some cheesy fries. We were one of the first boats to arrive so my husband and I were able to grab a set of chairs with an umbrella. Our tour stopped here for a total of 1.5 hours, relaxing :)

This island is a absolute must while in camiguin. Cost 900 peso for 3 people but it’s an true tropical island. We had to walk out to boat as tide was out so be prepared to bring some swim shoes as the bottom is a bit stoney but one on the island your gonna love it.

Relaxing and pleasant visit. Good roads. Lack of instructions though as to which areas we can swim at.

Can go here even when it is rainimg but bring umbrellas because there are not enough tables with cover.
