We opted for a more personal and private tour experience just the 3 of us and avoided the large party groups. This ensures we got prime time at each of the 3 attractions and were more or less alone.
You will travel by motobanca and it's about a 2 hour journey, our boat provided ear defenders thankfully. Upon arrival there is a party sign in and a brief safety induction, you will wear rock climbers helmet and a bouancy vest and then transfer to a small motobanca with 3 tour guides.
The scenery is breath takingly beautiful and the waters crystal clear, you will sail around small limestone islands and arrive at a cave opening depending on the tide its a tight squeeze head height going through the cave hence the helmets.
The next stop is another cave this time you will swim inside for a photo shoot opportunity that provides spectacular colours (take your own waterproof flash light... Believe me you really must) then its another short swim in the cave and an easy short climb up a lime stone cliff and a 10 foot jump off a board into the water back outside.
Next you will be taken by motobanca to a small lake with thousands of tiny clear white Jelly fish... Non stinging. Its quite amazing to get so up close to these creatures.
Finally its a motobanca ride ro the Booty Fight lunch, drop some cooked fish scraps in the waters below and watch the frenzied fish feed...
If ur up for it theres a 3 meter dive board and a swing over the water....

Please respect the cleanliness of the waters and do not drop your waste or plastics..

Loads of fun. Great scenery. Knowledgeable guides. But this is not for the faint of heart nor the unfit. You’ll be climbing up and down steep and slippery pathways that absolutely require some physical coordination and fitness. Far from a simple path to follow. Is it worth it?
Yeah, But it’s quite a bit of work - and seriously don’t even try it if you’re severely overweight or aren’t at least reasonably fit. One more tip - be prepared and wear hiking shoes.

Solid wastes and vandals exists inside the cave. It doesn't have that much of an attraction aside from its history but it's still worth the visit.

The way to the cave is quite an adventure. You will get to repel your way down to the blue cave. Before you can see the cave, there are large rocks you have to cross over. You can swim in some areas in the cave. Those areas are over 5ft. There are no tables and stay areas, so I suggest not to bring too much things when going down to the cave. And you definitely cannot stay overnight. But overall, you'll get to enjoy deeping in the cold water and the nice sight of the river and mountain!

Its a 45mins hike before you get into the lake but its worth it. The trail is muddy so you need to wear a good slippers or hiking shoes.

From the main road od Barangay Kapatagan it is only like 15-20mins walk the you will this beautiful cave. The kids dod told me that there are still chambers, I got a bit afraid coz we dont have flashlights so I just made myself happy with the ray of light from above.

We went here as part of our tour package. There are a lot of sights to see. The formations of stalactites and stalagmites are awesome. If I am not mistaken, this place has the King's throne formation - the main attraction.

Wow, you need a minimum and a maximum size for that. Beautiful cave.
I suggest you visit it soon to find it in nice condition.
I liked it, it's a bit exhausting though. My friends found it small and boring, but they're frequent cave crawlers.

The unique site of the cave along the cliff of the sea. It is a combination of a caving and swimming. Having a nature adventure and a beach resort. It is also an educational experience for a caving adventure. This is the only caving adventure i have experienced that you can be inside the cave from your car within 3 minutes time. Just try to believe.

This cave is such a beauty, that is definitely undeniable. I've only been to one of its Chambers since the other 2 Chambers we're reserved for research and preservation. But with only one Chamber, I overused the word WOW!.. Its so freaking amazing inside that cave like its unworldly.

What disappointed me though is the service of the Barangay Officials and the Tourism council. This cave was discovered years ago but up until today, there were no alleviating improvements to be seen. The road was as rough as it is when I've been in the place the first time. The entrance fee was a bit expensive and yet there were no safety gears provided like flash light/head light and head gear. The Barangay didn't even issued a receipt of our payment w/c surely means the money we paid will not be used for the development of the cave since it will never go back to the government. I hope this review could reach government agencies such as DENR and make actions to improve the place. How can we show it and boost it to the world if no development will be made.

Libuton Cave in Manukan offers great experience...One thing, there is not much crowd and only people around Zamboanga del Norte knows this cave.. I had been to many caves around the philippines (>10caves), and I rank Libuton cave within top 3.

I would recommend cave enthusiasts to visit there.

It's a half day trek. Better you start hiking early morning. Tiring, but you'll have fun spelunking the caves! There's even a great view up top near the corn fields! 🙂

You can visit thenomadbites.com, I made a complete guide for the Hindang Expedition!

I thought it is a scary place, but it was not. I enjoyed walking through along with my co-adventurers until we get to the end point. Amazing#
