- Robby ROdesa, Ukraine17 contributionsGreat place to take the family and have fun on dozens of interactive displays. Fun for all ages. Small cafe in case you need a snack and drink.Written March 19, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Elena OKyiv, Ukraine860 contributionsI like cinema and it was very alluring to see how this “magic” works. The territory of Film studio is not big and excursion will not take more than 1.5 hours, but it’ll be full of interesting facts, traces of passed production and like in a time machine you step back to USSR… There is a museum of cinema placed in a Vera Kholodna Art Center, part of this museum is dedicated to Kholodna.
It is better to call the Studio prior to your visit if you wish an excursion.Written May 3, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It has a great collection of art work, notably paintings and porcelain of different countries and epochs. The entrance part of the museum requires restoration. I ordered an individual guide but it was not available when I visited.Written August 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cdwood77Bangkok, Thailand419 contributionsWe did not book a tour but for 100 Ukrainian (about $4) in addition to the tasting fee, we got an amazing private tour by a very knowledgeable young man that provided a most interesting history of the truly fine cognac we were sampling. I should mention I am fond of cognac and found this to be a superior distillation that exceeded my favorite's Hennessy XO & Martel Cordon Bleu. Unfortunately they do not export to the USA. This is a don't miss for the cognac connoisseur.Written November 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LizaOdesa, Ukraine8 contributionsI loved it. World-known painters’ and sculptors’ works, squeaky floor and the place itself is a good combination that create great atmosphere. Definitely worth visitingWritten February 19, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sveinung NygaardGothenburg, Sweden2 contributionsA proper experience of Odessa!
This expertly guided journey with a personal touch was actually a journey not just through the catacombs but also trough the history of Odessa. We could feel the passion for the city and got personal anecdotes and the guide showed great flexibility to tailor-make the trip to our interests. Great storytelling and lovey pace including tea and biscuits in the underground cafe made our 3 hours underground a brilliant experience. Made our day.Written November 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went without reservation, but there was no problem to go inside. Tickets costs 5 UAH and staff is very friendly. The only small disadvantage is lack of English description of the items, yet there are Latin names provided, therefore it was easy just to Google information. I really recommend this museum!Written July 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Natalia22 contributionsThere is a possibility to buy a guidebook for 30 UAH and they have it in few languages. The guidebook is great, has in it everything You have to know even some fun examples of smuggling. It has also pictures of exhibition, so if you hesitate whether you should go in or no, you should buy a guidebook. Only minus is that some words seems to be translated by coopy and paste by Google.
Idea of this museum is great, but they have problems with creating exhibition.Written August 21, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But in each room you can find an English/Russian/Ukrainian summary to tell more about what the room is about. You can also access the Sculpture garden with the Literature museum ticket.Written October 12, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nikoll MBratislava, Slovakia98 contributionsI liked it. First, i want to thank the owner he let us pay in € instead of Ukrainian money . Second, we got a nice informative commentary bout Ukrainian jew community and then we could follow to different expositions by ourselves. Most of the notes are in english as well so you can understand. It was a nice time getting us back in history, i do recommend you visiting this museum for sure.Written December 31, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FyFazanOslo, Norway1,460 contributionsA really nice archaeological museum, both outside and inside. The museum was much larger than expected, and included several rooms with ancient treasures.
Surprisingly a lot of security guards inside the museum on a sunny day with quite few visitors when we visited. Would have been nice with some better air conditioning.
Recommended visiting this one on a rainy day.Written January 20, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The biggest exhibit is a soviet time diesel submarine. The exhibits are poorly maintained and most of them quite heavily rusted. I am not sure if they will be much more around with such care. The vehicle exhibits are free to attend and even clime, however the park is quite heavily commercialized. The are numerous fast food kiosks and different kid entertainment right next to the exhibits.Written August 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TatyanaRussiaFanNew York City, New York, USA26 contributionsLocated within easy walking distance of the town center, this house museum has very interesting exhibits, well-presented, and gives a feel of life in the late 19th - early 20th century and Ukranian culture. English descriptions and free English audio tour available.Written August 31, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
