I did a guided live-streamed walking tour with Olga from Heygo. In the second part of her tour, she started at the Monument to Catherine the Great. When we arrived at the Opera House, she informed us that the two statues on either side of the front entrance are called Tragedy and Comedy. One entrance is called the English Entrance as it faced the English Club. This is the first opera house built in Ukraine and its facade is decorated in the Italian baroque style. It is a very beautiful building and Olga gave us many lovely postcard shots of this theatre. We also walked to the old town and saw more lovely buildings and the spacious pedestrian streets. I learned a lot about Odessa through virtual walking tours with Olga.

Famous for its beauty and location. tourists and locals love going there because it is the center of the city. All the cafes, restaurants, and places of interest are there. You can easily go the the Odessa Opera Theatre from Deribasovskaya.

It's a very touristy place, a lot of people everywhere. You can explore by foot (like we did) or take the funicular. If you go to Odessa, I guess you have to climb them at least once. Nice park around, quite close to the port. So you can have a nice, long walk and explore.

Very relaxed, a lot of coffeeshops, bars and restaurants nearby, in the evening very well lit. It`s romantic, too.

All the celebrations, holidays, and just weekends are near this statue. The most famous statue by far! A lot of jokes and a lot of memories are about this statue. Currently hidden under the sandbags during the war

Odessa Passage is situated near Deribasovskaya street. Shops are not really important but if you love shopping you can have good shopping there. The most important is the statures and the building architecture-so beautiful. Come and enjoy it!

Quite an experience, did not what to expect. A busy port, plenty of activity, tourist boats, commercial boats, a concert being prepared. You can get some good photos with the sea and the boats. As someone who is not very passionate about the sea, I actually enjoyed walking around. Not an absolute must, but worth seeing.

A square with a most pleasing visual smorgasbord of architectural majesty and human ingenuity. A lovely place to sit and relax or create romance, as much of Odessa is. In my eyes, this is as European as it gets.

This district is well known for its clubs and pubs open till the sunrise. It is worth to visit it also during the day. Nice beaches, a lot of tourist shops, nice restaurants and bars, and of course - sandy beach near by.

This place is similar to old markets from the nineties - a huge area where you can buy almost everything, but only with cash. Credit cards are useless here, better check if you have enough money on you.

Privoz Market is located in the city centre, south of the older part. Next to this, you have main bus stations (Privoz Bus Station and Starosinna Square) as well as the Train Station Odesa-Holovna.

I was there in March, in the last minutes before Covid-19 problems.

Central Park (former Alexander Park) is the main place for walking and relaxing in the historical center. Numerous green alleys, fountains, a panorama of the sea and the port, food courts and attractions for children make this park an excellent choice for family leisure on weekends. There are many attractions in the park - Quarantine Arch, Alley of Heroes with a monument to the Unknown Sailor, Alexander Column, Lanzheron Arch, Chernomorets Stadium, Green Theater, historical observatory, many monuments...

That is why Odessa is so unique- we have a lot of books written in Odessa and about Odessa. Everyone read about 12 chairs by Ilf and Petrov. An unforgettable book and statue helped to remind about it.
