If you cant catch bus, taxi will cost ard 1700yen from Matsumoto station.
Just take note that the only bus leave this park at 10:25am and 2:25pm. Or else you need to walk down. It is abt 4km to Matsumoto station.
Park is big, lots of play area for children, very limited foods though.
Luge is only operating on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Do check their operating hours.
Luge ride is cheap, children pay 1000yen for 6rides, adult is 2000yen.
Fun ride for children and adults too.
There is a small natural museum showing wildlife of that area.

Note that this is a HUGE park surrounding Matsumoto's small regional airport. Best to have a car if you want to do things on the west side of the airport (frisbee golf/ crazy bikes, etc).
Built on excess land bought by Matsumoto city and Shiojiri city when constructing the airport in the 1980's this public park is a huge play area with all sorts of activites, many family orientated. Note that it was built with the local population in mind and every family in the area drives.

Ahhh, I just love it here. Since my first trip in 2013, I've come back several times to wander around, watch the world go by, look at the fish in the moat and the snow covered mountai s in the distance. I really just enjoy being here. It is lovely during the autumn.

Ichinose is about 5-10 min drive or about 20-30 min walk from the Norikura bus terminal. There is a shuttle bus service but only operates on weekends during peak seasons. It is a swamp area with small ponds dotting here and there. Though not at the peak of fall, still managed to catch early glimpses of its scenery for my future travel to Norikura kogen again.

A charming building that now serves as an adult extra curricular classes originally built in the 1920’s. Interesting architectural derails with many of the furniture and classes intact.

This park is located within a short walk (1-min) from Zenko-ji Temple and next to Nagano Prefectural Museum of the Arts. (you can checkout my earlier reviews of these places too)

On our visits to the two attractions as mentioned earlier, we passed by this huge park. Although it was around noon time with the sun shinning brightly, it was cold (that's why you can see that my jacket was worn). It was recently renovated in 2021

The park is clean and neat and most of the leaves of trees have fallen off and withered as winter was coming. There's a playground for children to enjoy their activities, adults for their leisure run on the pristine paths, and visitors would visit this place during spring to watch the sakura and cherry blossoms too, not to mention for sunrise or sunset. The view is nice, with huge mountains around!

We didn't have the luxury of time to explore the park fully, but we liked the serenity and peacefulness here, totally a different scene from the "busy and crowdedness" of the adjacent temple!

Think we would surely fall in love of this place should we see the sakuras!

The park does have a lot of space and sitting areas, but the flower clock was my favourite. Heading into Winter they managed to find colourful flowers to make the dial stand out.
