Amazing view from Mary holding baby Jesus. However, don't go further up this side. 2 middle-aged men collapsed and 1 died the day before I did it. Apparently going up to see statue of Jesus on the other side is ok.

This church is the oldest in Vung Tau and the most elegant in its simplicity and charm. None of the new churches in all their delusional grandeur can compare.

An out of the way Pagoda which has an outstanding collection of unusual orchids. There are places to sit and relax; as well as places to meditate. The pagoda takes take of children but they will not intrude upon you and respect your privacy.. If you happen to come during lunch and/or dinner the pagoda will offer you a traditional vegetarian meal; however if you come as a large group it would be recommended that you telephone in advance to let them be prepared for the group. There are very nice places to stay if you want to spend a few days to meditate.

Was recommended this Pagoda by hotel staff,
We didn’t really research very well. It is up a rather steep road , I’d highly recommend planning a trip here better than we did. Once at the top we were uncertain how to get a ride back thus decided to only see the monkeys and continue in the same taxi back down.
Like most of the sites inVung Tau they really aren’t maintained very well like in the capital cities, guess that will happen when more foreigners visit this small hidden gem.

Right on the beach, this beautiful Buddhist temple looks like it was made from a dream. A wonderful place to photograph and walk around. The monks will be more than willing to help and offer you literature. Absolute must if you are going to Long Hai.

IF you are going out to Long Hai, then make sure you visit this strange little shrine build on a hill overlooking the sea and the nearby Ngoc Hai temple. The view is lovely and thee are inexpensive restaurants nearby.
