It’s really cheap to get in and they kindly had a young man to take the photos, which was brilliant because he knew all the best angles & poses.

The coffee was great & good value too!

Interesting survivor of the French Colonisation era dating to 1898 and constructed as the summer residence of the French Governor, Paul Doumer who actually never got to live there as he was recalled to France. The carpark is located approx. 100m at the bottom of the hill, no room for a bus to turn. Its quite a beautiful building, white coloured and with various statues decorating the structure. Furnishings and fittings are sympathetic to the era and compliment the design of the various rooms. Some ancient cannons are mounted in the grounds, attractive gardens and great views.

Having gone to the Upside Down House in the morning we decided to top it all off with a visit to the Selfie House
Both houses seem to be run by the same group, but for some reason this attraction had next to no one visiting, while the Upside Down House was packed.....perhaps its the location because it definitely is not due to the attraction itself, which was a lot of fun, and even better to the Upside Down house -- bigger and more to see and experience.

We were lucky as the young lady who took our tickets was also very , very kind to take a good few photos for us, and show us all the interesting rooms in the house......top marks to her kindness....

Overall a very enjoyable and fun time spent here, even if we are a tad bit old for this kind of thing, but ha we can be young at heart sometimes too, right!
