The view at the shoulder of the statue was well worth it. Note: tank tops are not allowed in the statue.Written March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Duy Anh KhucHanoi, Vietnam1 contributionVung Tau Lighthouse was a very important destination on our schedule. It is located on the top of Nho mountain (Tao Phung mountain). However, the sun was very hot and most of us forgot to bring our sun hats, so we had to take some motorbikes to go up there. Although the motorbike drivers looked very old, they drove around really fast. Despite not being able to climb the mountain with our own feet, we could feel the cool air and the gentle breeze on our faces while traveling on the motorbike. Upon arrival, I felt overwhelmed by the beautiful scenery of Vung Tau from above. The large, high-rise buildings, along with the clear blue sky and the calm sea, were all very stunning. I feel very jealous of the Vung Tau locals because I have always loved nature. In Hanoi, interactions between people and nature are very rare because Hanoi is the capital of the country, so it has to develop and exploit the surrounding nature and resources more. In the distance stands the statue of Lord Jesus along with Minh Dam mountain, both looking extremely great and impressive. Visiting the Vung Tau lighthouse is indeed a wise and highly recommended choice for tourists.Written July 30, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - :)Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam1 contributionI took a lot of pictures, the views are amazing. The roller coaster is also have less damage then the other parks. But some of the games are not suitable for people who are scared of heights. You could make some lovely bubble tea just in 2 ingredients: milk and tea for a great breakfast or you could make a cup of coffee. Ho May Park also has a pagoda, in the outside, you could see some famous heroes that helped Vietnam developed (from 938 to 1700s). The special thing the park has is its park is on the mountains; you could have a ride to the park by a transportation called "cáp treo". It only took several minutes. The only thing is the swimming pool isn't filtered the water and urine at all. And the floor is no good than other pools. But this park, combining with the hotel is great! Suitable for some people who wants to have a hotel that was out of the ordinary in Vung Tau! I can't wait to go to this park for the second time!Written September 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Trip644726954671 contributionAmazing view from Mary holding baby Jesus. However, don't go further up this side. 2 middle-aged men collapsed and 1 died the day before I did it. Apparently going up to see statue of Jesus on the other side is ok.Written January 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dan LBunbury, Australia7,494 contributionsShort stop here while on tour, our guide making many references to it as the 'bay of boats' although few were in evidence. Nice promenade, a park area, a few fishermen mending/preparing their nets, and a few stalls selling various snacks and drinks. Enjoyed a six pack of delicious pastries for the princely sum of AUD$1.Written December 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jaimie LSydney, Australia4 contributionsThere’s nothing to see here except the memorial itself - so do your research and/or take a guide with you.
However - it’s a well maintained memorial and atmospheric even if the battle site itself seems quite changed.
We were touched to be there and combined the visit with a visit to the local tunnels which provided some additional historical layers.Written September 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Definitely worth a visit and pretty powerful to walk through this area and imagine what the Viet Cong experienced during war. I recommend grabbing a bite to eat at the beautiful Lan Rung resort near by after your hike (right on the water).Written December 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SilversandsEdinburgh210 contributionsPrivate Tour booked in advance via email. Picked up from Cruise Ship as arranged and taken off for the day to visit local village to see Coracle being built and then to the coast to see local fishermen casting nets from their Coracle. Chose some freshly caught sea food which was immediately put into a Cold box and taken back to Your Guide's Organic Farm. Spent following hours visiting many places of interest and learning about the Vietnamese/American War from the perspective of a Vietnamese. Visited family made dugouts and tunnels. Went to Organic Farm wandered around looking at various exitic crops before having the most delicious lunch which included our freshly caught sea food. Would highly recommend this trip as unique; I and value for money.Written December 1, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
