Reached there in the morning. Though Dun was at its best, it was breezy, so we Enjoyed. Top of it, DryFruit Kulfi & Coconut Water made us Very Comfortable Too. Don’t Miss 😊🙏🏻Written March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MumbaiRidersMumbai, India1,677 contributionsFinally after a road journey of 26 Km from Mohanpura bus depot in Aberdeen Bazaar our bus arrived at Chidyatapu , a scenic locale facing the sea and small islands.Walked onto a road away from the sea coast and came across " Chidyatapu Biological Park " which was a combination of a mini zoo and botanical park with a large reserve of trees endemic to Andaman and Nicobar Islands .The Biological park opened at 0900 hrs and since I was early made my way out of the park premises onto Chidyatapu Beach. The Sun was shining at its brightest and luckily there was a tourist rest shack on the beach. The beach has rocks and is not suitable for swimming and the same not allowed/ Chidyatapu beach is famous for its SUNSET which draws large tourist crowds.Written November 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Navigator604850774624 contributionsBest place to do water sports of all types. Skip water sports in port blair and do it in andaman. The ride from jetty to elephant beach itself is so scenic and amazing water colour which we dont see in India. Most rides are Rs.600/- per person and they are worth it.
Few are costly. Like the capsule type for viewing corals which is a whopping Rs.3500 per person. A glass boat ride for Rs.600 or a scuba diving for Rs.2000 would do an equivalent/better job respectively.
Similarly, complimentary snorkeling is given along with your ticket to elephant beach (which is Rs.1000 per person). Stop with that. Dont go for paid snorkeling. Instead do scuba. It is an out of the world experience. I dont think scuba diving is done in elephant beach. Not sure. I did near the havelock jetty itself and it was worth it.Written September 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Once being operated by Indian Navy, finish what you call as navy edge does not exists there.
If they can arrange one or two staff in naval dress to be present at the museum particularly for weapons section then it would be nice.
A small section for kids to encourage them to join navy, some section of valour of navy would be more appreciable.
Rest I loved the place, neat, clean, good collection.Written January 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are few shops around the beach which serve coconut water etc. One can laze down here for a couple hours and relax here.Written July 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
