- Heli PHelsinki, Finland6,406 contributionsThe area around the colourful fountain with green frogs has several shops selling Spanish made leather footwear. My best finds were from Payma selling last remaining pairs of soft sole sandals for 15 euros. Next morning before my ship sailed to Morocco I visited the free Museo Municipal at the edge of Old Town, which has archelogical collections and more interesting paintings on the second floor.Written May 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christina P4 contributionsBeing a fairly new swimmer over 40 the thought of going to an aqua park filled me with zero joy.
For a first timer I thought this place was brilliant.
In terms of catering I thought the food was fine, burgers, pizza's kebabs not badly priced, many of the locals take their own picnic's so its obviously not frowned upon to do this.
The life guards were really good, quite strict at keeping queues moving, ensuring areas around the bottom of slides were clear, I like their attitude to any youngsters who were pushing in or playing up regardless of nationality.
Dont bother hiring a huge doughnut ring when you arrive as there were plenty through out the day even on the busier slides. FYI you do receive your deposit back for the ring if you return the one you hired.
Everything is well sign posted.
There are lockers to keep valuables in.
We left our clothes, towels, drinks bottles, a small bit of change in our bags by our sun loungers all day and nothing was stolen.
The nicest thing I will say is the park seemed to attract all ages and everyone seemed to be having a lovely time.Written October 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ian5 contributionsWe had an enjoyably challenging walk - but not the one intended! We should have taken a photo of the map at the entrance, from which we learnt that we would walk up the track a certain distance, then turn left and do a circular walk to get back to the same point on the track.
We turned left too soon, at a cement cone containing an access point for 'agua potable'. We did a circular walk, though various kinds of challenging terrain, and got back to that same point. We didn't see any way-markers, but followed paths for most of the way.
We only realised our mistake when we got back to the entrance. We will go again another time and do it properly.Written September 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. When we visited it was really quiet and loads of beach to explore. Be aware that to get into the sea it can be quite difficult at times due to the waves and pebbles but it’s well worth it
Bus ride to beach was cheapWritten September 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Perhaps not very scenic - although you can see Gibraltar across the bay, you have an oil refinery to the left, and a container port to your right. Good for a family with small kids, not so romantic for a honeymoon!Written September 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Francisco BEl Burgo de Osma, Spain277 contributionsSpecial place, special products, special people.. .
You can find fresh products at a very good price. Fish, meat, vegetables, fruit. . With that value added of culture mixing of Spain and Morocco. Highly recommendedWritten December 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great to visit in the summer time.Written November 4, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. After our dinner at the hotel, we decided to take a stroll. Although it was 8plus in the evening, the sky was still very bright.
About 3~4 mins walk, we came by this church, standing near the traffic junction at this neighbourhood. Although it's not as big in size or as grand compared to those other churches we had visited earlier (also there wasn't any statue outside the church compound unlike the others), it was nice in its own way. It's simple, nicely architectured 2-storey building and neat with 2 tall trees. The colour of red and white was a good combination The church was closed then, we were just strolling around it and liked the serenity and tranquility.
If you happen to be staying in the area and would like to learn more about it, do dropby for the visit but make sure you are on the right time.Written July 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Turista-InglesaEstepona, Spain31,315 contributionsJudging by the signs telling you how many empty places there are, the multi-storey car park must accommodate over 2,000 vehicles. That's an awful lot of shoppers...
So the first tip is to get there at 10, when it opens.
The second tip is to take a photo of the pillar nearest your car, so you have a record of where you parked. 2,000 cars are a lot to wander around looking for one specific car, especially if it's a hire car and you're not too sure of the colour. Or the make...
The shopping mall is on two floors, with a Mercadona supermarket and a two-storey Primark the largest stores. The rest are pretty typical of any mall anywhere in Europe, with the Zara family doing well. Something for all the family.
The food court on the upper deck is not as good as in the equivalent in the UK.
A good place to come and be relieved of your cash on a rainy day, or indeed a sticky hot Levante wind day in summer.
Just don't lose your car.Written February 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Took 4 of us around 3 hours from start to finish at a relaxed pace. Recommend going early or late to avoid the peak of a sunny day.Written June 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
