- Gordon MKelham, UK21 contributionsFantastic views
Nice place with two cafe shops on way round
Would recommend going early to be out the heat as involves lots of stepsWritten October 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's not an easy walk - quite steep at points and the final path can be extremely slippery - but well worth it if you like that sort of thing.
At the start of 2024, a small museum (which wasn't mentioned anywhere I looked) has opened in the old hermitage, providing a glimpse at the life of a 15th century hermit.Written February 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. What more could one ask for from a free botanical garden? There's no parking - but there's no entry fee. There's no guide - but there are lots of pointy plants. Just go.Written February 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- brynulfJessheim, Norway1,927 contributionsA long hike or short boat ride from St.Angelo. Very scenic, a few hundred steps down to the beach. Limited sitting space other than some rocks. Water is very warm.
Restaurant at the water level was empty and when they seated us it was in the rear? Why? They said they had customers coming… none ever showed up and we left.Written March 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are plenty of loungers (at a price) you can hang out on. This is very large beach, plenty of space. Great for all ages and families. There's plenty of food options and the water was so nice! Worth spending a day here and relaxing.Written September 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Chelsea W3 contributionsGorgeous views. Beautiful aqua blue water but it was a bit dirty due to algae and turf from the waves. Overall nice beach with free entry and shops and places to eat right across from the waterWritten August 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Asta365Kent, TX553 contributionsArriving by boat, I swam in from fairly far out. The water was clean, but there were few swimmers in the water. A sand bar where you can stand on the bottom is found about 100 yards out and then a deeper section before you hit the beach. I thought the rough sand/fine gravel on the beach was fascinating because of the variations in color, ranging from some green colored material, to black, to brown, to a light brown. I did not use the facilities on the beach.Written September 27, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Micheal G43 contributionsWe found this beach not far from where we stayed. It's not very big so don't know how it would be if it got very crowded. When we went twice it was fine. There are sunbeds as usual @ €24 for 2 with umbrella but we didn't get them as we were only there for a couple of hours each time. The public part is small but manageable. Definitely take an umbrella with you here as there is little shade. Water is warm with grainy sand. Waves can be strong and it gets deep quickly so not ideal for young children but saying that our 5 year old loved it as long as he had a float and of course a parent stayed with him in the water. There is a small drinks bar here also. There are steep steps down to the beach but worth it .Written July 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sasha75 contributionsLovely little beach if you’re up for a nice long stroll down a windy road and steps, and back up again. I love that it wasn’t as crowded as the other beaches probably because it’s not as readily accessible. The sun goes down over the mountain around 3/4pm but I didn’t mind at all and had a really nice day there. Two restaurants serve food and have a typical café/bar for beverages but I brought my lunch. I did unfortunately find some trash on the beach maybe from the wind washing it ashore, so I implore you to pick up and throw away anything you see to help keep the beaches and sea life healthy!Written June 19, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marian S4 contributionsI visited this place by chance and would highly recommend stopping by. Absolutely amazing to see how much work he has put into his home which is still being expanded with more tunnels going further into the mountains. He says he has been working on the house for over 40 years and is not done yet! He does not charge for guided tours but has a fountain where you can leave a donation if desired.Written June 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
